Hi Guys,

I am driving myself mad at the moment wondering what is going on with my body. Had a chemical pregnancy last month, had positive tests from 7dpo (11th Dec) right through to when I started bleeding on 20th Dec. My period only ended up being one day late. Got a positive opk (smiley face on clearblue) on cd14 (02.01.21). The strange thing is I got 2 faint positive tests on 13th Jan and the 14th Jan on frer (the lines kind of looked like darker at one end so was wondering if they were faulty or leftover hcg, this was cd25 and cd26) then all bfn after that. Then after that, I had cramping on cd26 during the evening it lasted for a few hours, but I also had a positive cheap opk so I was very confused at this point! This week I have had lots of white cm in my underwear and at one point I think it was on Thursday I had slight cramping and felt like something was coming out of me so went to the loo whilst at work thinking at had arrived but no blood just white cm. I’m now on cd36 with no af and negative tests, and my boobs are very achey and hurt if I push them all over they almost feel bruised if that makes sense. My cycles are normally 30-31 days so I’m really confused right now. I just want af to come as I very much doubt I’m going to get a bfp this late in the game and I’m wondering if the chemical pregnancy has affected my cycle this month perhaps 😔

Hi @KirstyP0594, sorry about your chemical pregnancy last month, it's so disappointing isn't it. I had a very early miscarriage in August last year (was between five and six weeks pregnant, so not much difference to a chemical pregnancy I don't think) and the next cycle was a weird one! My cycles are normally about 30 days long, though the one after my MC was 41 days, and for over a week leading up to my period I was feeling really odd and getting BFNs. My opks were all over the place throughout the cycle, too. Things went completely back to normal the cycle after that though 😊
Hope AF comes soon so you can get back into it, or even better, you get a BFP!

Thank you @Meg87, I had such high hopes for trying again this month as I had heard you are more fertile after chemical pregnancies, but it seems not in my case. I’m sorry about your miscarriage, that’s good to hear you went back to normal after that cycle, hopefully my af will be here by the weekend but will test again if a no show although don’t hold much hope!

Yes I'd also heard about being more fertile after chemical pregnancies/early miscarriages so I also had high hopes. You never know though, it isn't over until AF arrives!
