Stupid question - when do you say your period is over?

Can feel imminent AF on cycle 2 of TTC and I have a stupid question...

What do you mark down as your last day of period? I often have 3-5 days of 'normal' bleeding and then 2-3 days of brown spotting.

Is my period over once I move to spotting? Or after the spotting?

Trying to get more accurate at tracking my cycle etc...!

To be honest it's not something normally tracked as part of ttc I don't think? The key dates are CD1, ovulation day and CD1 again to give you an idea of how long your follicular and luteal phases are - the length of your period doesn't really play into it unless you have abnormally long ones that you think might be affecting your ovulation.

Like was mentioned I don't think it is too important to count how many days you have your period unless it was for medical reasons, e.g. you have longer than usual periods.
But to answer your question, I would count it as your period because even though it's spotting, it is due to your period and not another reason xx

@larrythelizard not stupid at all. I was thinking this last night 🙈🙈 unless I'm stupid too? Haha. All my apps automatically put it as 5 days which is quite true day 1 is like brown/ red then day 2 and 3 murder scene day 4 calms down/brown again then day 5 is literally only noticeable on tissue sorry TMI. And then yesterday there was like a dot went away after a shower so I DTD (for fun i know i won't get pregnant) and quickly glanced at hubbys willy 🤣 nothing there so all good. I have faced the horror before of thinking I was in the clear and then DTD and his willy has come out looking like a red sharpie 🙈🙈🤣🤣
