I tested positive Jan 15th for Ovulation. Is that day 1 or 2?

How do I work out what dpo I am currently at?
Tested positive only Jan 15th. DTD 14th and 15th.
Am I 5dpo or 6dpo?
Thanks!

DPO stands for days post ovulation. So if 15th was ovulation day, the 16th would one day post ovulation.

Having said that - if you had a peak ovulation test on the 15th, you could have ovulated on the 15th, 16th or 17th (which is why you should carry on DTD after the peak reading).

It's normal to use the day after a peak as a potential ovulation day though if you're not confirming it with any other tracking method, so I'd say you're now 4DPO.

What @Juno231 said. I track ovulation using opk’s and temping and find that I always ovulate the day AFTER my peak opk.

Ideally you would carry on doing opk’s after your peak to check it returns to high or low, which would be a good but not guaranteed indication that you’ve ovulated. So as said before, assuming you might have ovulated the day after your peak reading then you would be 4dpo.

But seeing as you can ovulate anywhere from 12-48 hours after your peak reading you could also be only 3dpo.
