Flashing smiley - clear blue

Hi everyone!!

Exciting times... I got my first flashing smiley on my clearblue ovulation sticks just now.. going forward what do I do from here? Besides the obvious 🙈

Sorry this is will be my first and never used these ovulation sticks before 😀

@emilyylouise my OH was unwell and couldn’t do it when I got my solid, we only managed the night before! Don’t worry about it too much :) sperm can live like up to 5 days.

@rosegold33 when you get a static smiley it will stay on your screen for 48 hours so you are probably still on flashing smiley.

Does anyone else get cramps when they are ovulating? My stomach has been mad for like 3 days now 😫

@emilyylouise I can usually always tell when I’m ovulating because I get cramps! TMI my CM changes so much when I’m about to ovulate that’s how I usually track it if I didn’t use the tests.

@Lovelily94 at first before I done my tests I thought oh nooooo AF is early 🤣 thank god it's not

Hi OP- ive just ordered a pack of 20. I'm coming off my pill on Saturday then waiting for AF then will start tracking ovulation. In was jsut wondering when you started using the tests after AF? I've only got 20 so don't want to use them all up if I don't have to test for a couple of weeks iyswim? Just find it quite confusing!x

I was the same... I only started using them a week after my period 😊 as I was also on the pill so unsure of my cycles

Good to know thank you. My cycles are really short so I think I'll start testing a few days after af leaves!

I'm only 4DPO so it probably is too early but I have been woken up with cramps only on my left side and feeling very sick 🤢
I hope I'm not over thinking things 🤞🏻

Sold smiley this morning. Didnt realise it would stay on screen - ive been bad at peeing then forgetting to go back and check.

Its all systems go for the next couple of days.

I'm currently 4DPO and i got woken up feeling very sick and had cramps in my left side.
Also my taste has gone a bit weird... my favourite drink is coke and last night it just tasted off and the same this morning with my tea 🤷🏼‍♀️
Might just be over thinking it as I know it's still very early but 🤞🏻

Hi ladies hope you dont mind me joining.
This is my first month using clearblue..
I've never got a positive opk and someone recommended clearblue.
Yesterday I got my first flashing smiley and this morning a static already ...is this ok? I'm only CD 10 but I do have shorter cycles.
Any advice appreciated thanks 🥰

@Pip1903 static smiley means your LH surge has been detected and ovulation will probably follow in around 12-36 hours so I would advise DTD today and tomorrow!

Hi ladies, just to say I had 8 days of flashing smiley before eventually getting static! 😂🙈 So don't lose hope if it's taking longer than you think!

So joined this chat on 21st and have had nothing to add till now... got my flashing smiley today! Was so exciting! Am planning to DTD every other day from tomorrow- husbands working away tonight. Then when I get my static every day. This is a lot for us, we both have low sex drives so hardly ever DTD, hope we can manage 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

Hi everyone, I got my first static smiley today, and I was just wondering how you know when you ovulate for the purpose of calculating DPO going forward? I know the static stays for 48 hours, so would I say that I will ovulate tomorrow and then Saturday will be 1DPO? Or do I need to use another method alongside the clear blue digital to check exactly when I ovulate?

@abbaroony hiya, when I got my static, I put this into my Flo app and it put my ovulation as the following day as I believe you ovulate within the next 12 - 48 hours. I guess there is never an absolute certain way of knowing exactly when you ovulate but I went for the day after my static as my ovulation day and do my dpos from that.

So, as you say, I would calculate your ovulation day as tomorrow and you’ll be 1dpo on Saturday 😁

Hi ladies how did you all get on?

I had my first flashing smiley this morning and it's out first month TTC following a MMC last month which was unplanned but very wanted.

Feeling really positive about taking control and not leaving things up to chance and it was nice to see that smile :-)
