Does a positive test show up quicker if further along?

Did a test today (2actually ) and both times the second red line showed up almost instantly and was super dark. Yesterday was supposed to be my first day of period but obv no period. Does that mean I’m further along than I think? My December “period” lasted 1 day which was odd and now I’m thinking maybe that was implantation bleed and I probably need to count back to my Nov period date.

Obv will go and get a scan to confirm dates but just excited to start guesstimating.

It could be, but equally could just be that you have good levels of hcg.

My period was also due yesterday, only I had tested positive last Monday at 8dpo.
My test today was so dark the test line was darker than the control line.
I also had a 2-3 weeks on a clearblue digital test at 12dpo, so 3 days ago, before my period was even due.

I’m certain of dates as I temp and track with opk’s and I know I tested bfn before my period in December.

Only way to know for sure is by a scan.

There are loads of places that offer private scans and lots at very reasonable prices. The nearest one to me even had availability for as soon as tomorrow if I’d wanted it!

Obviously for me I know I’m only 4 weeks pregnant so no use. But if you think you might be further along I’d try and get booked in ASAP as you’d need to have a booking in appointment around 8 or 9 weeks with your midwife where they can refer you for your 12 week scan!

With ds I tested at 14dpo and the line was already as dark as the control line, a couple of days later it was sucking dye from the control line. My dates were correct!
