Covid and TTC...tell me your stories!

Hey ladies

So I tested positive for Covid on CD10 and I'm on CD24 today. I ovulate around CD20/21 normally and I had brown spotting on those days this month (I never have mid cycle spotting!)

Has Covid done anything weird to your cycles the month you had it ? I've only recovered fully today and DTD today (ofc...just in case...) but I'm sure 7/8 months into TTC it's not going to be this month Hmm

Just curious if this was a thing. Covid / illness of course I know can delay ovulation but the random spotting seems odd...Confused

By the way happy to take any questions about Covid as feeling so fortunate to have recovered from it finally !!

I had covid a couple of months ago. I usually ovulate between CD12 &18 and have 27-34 day cycles. The month I had covid I didn't ovulate until CD25 and had a 41 day cycle.
Not sure what the spotting could be. How do you normally track ovulation?

MrsTwentyEight · 18/01/2021 20:32

@LemonDrizzle44 thank you for replying! :) oooh so it did increase your cycle length too. Hmmm I'll wait and see what happens to mine this month

I'm CD19 today, think I ovulated day 9-10 (23-24 day cycle) and tested positive for covid today. Not sure what effect it's going to have but will keep you posted x

Annannanna · 18/01/2021 21:29

Do you know if you have ovulated yet or still waiting for it?
how did you get on with COVID, was it awful? Must be annoying to get in the way of ttc!

Bellesjp · 18/01/2021 22:20

I had covid over Xmas and had about 4/5 days of spotting before AF started, could be coincidence. Also had cramps on and off for a week before due on which I don’t usually have and my boobs didn’t hurt til much later in my cycle, I think it might have delayed ovulation

Sparkles512 · 19/01/2021 00:14

I am on CD 17, ovulated day 15 and found out today we have covid so will see what happens.

MrsTwentyEight · 19/01/2021 18:20

@LemonDrizzle44 forgot to say I normally track OV using CB digitals

@PeanuttyButter oh no, hope you feel better soon! Hopefully the fact that you OV-ed before covid means that it will be as normal, fingers crossed!

@Annannanna I had a static CB digital on CD22 so I'm going to assume I OV-ed but not sure! I really should track CM or something 7 months in! I know :( I really wanted this month to be it too! Covid was awful, 11 days of fever...gahhh

@Bellesjp oooh how interesting!! When is AF due for you?

@Sparkles512 get well soon! Hopefully it doesn't affect your cycle

Hi Ladies CD37, BFN and still no sign of AF.
Feeling fed up now and just want AF to make an appearance!
How is everyone doing?

Bellesjp · 07/02/2021 10:46

Af turned up for me this morning! My cycle was 34 days this month and usually 31/32 days. Also my boobs didn’t hurt at all this month and usually they’re so sore from ov to when af turns up! Not sure if that’s related to covid or not but not normal for me! I had positive opk on cd19 but maybe I didn’t actually ovulate..

MrsTwentyNine · 07/02/2021 12:05

I got AF 2 days ago
41 day cycle when my normal is 33-37
I got 2x LH surges about 5 days apart so I think I didn't OV the first surge and only OV-ed the 2nd time hence delayed AF!

MrsTwentyNine · 07/02/2021 12:39

@Sparkles512 that's probably why you're delayed!

Sparkles512 · 07/02/2021 13:17

@mrstwentynine thank you
I'm not very good with OPKs I had a line from 16th to 19th January and then stopped testing as I assumed that was when I ovulated.
Maybe I should have continued testing?
I think once AF arrives I need to get the CB ovulation tests, and use them more regularly!
