@Whereland was this with FMU? when was your period due?

Whereland · 20/01/2021 07:49

Yes fmu. Period was due yesterday. Thought it should be a stronger line by now..

OP posts:
Katie1109 · 20/01/2021 09:04

It's still early days if it was only due yesterday. Stay positive x

Whereland · 20/01/2021 09:05

Convincing myself now that it was a chemical 😕

Whereland · 20/01/2021 11:44

Got a FRER. That's me out. So strange, why did I get those lines on the cheap tests.

Katie1109 · 20/01/2021 12:05

@Whereland are you sure there’s no line on that FRER? I swear I can see something. Either way, whatever the result for you, stay positive, it will happen x

Whereland · 20/01/2021 12:19

No I don't think so, surely it should be much clearer on an FRER. I think it was a chemical. Wish I'd never done those cheapy tests and gotten my hopes up. Won't be doing that again

OP posts:
elsaesmeralda · 20/01/2021 13:27

I can see a line on that frer

Whereland · 20/01/2021 13:35

I think if I realllllly strain my eyes I can see the bare outline of a line 😂 But wouldn't it be a lot clearer at 15DPO especially seeing as it's an early response test?

OP posts:
AngelicPP · 20/01/2021 13:47

How close are the lines supposed to be if preg? I can't remember now been a long time for me since my last! Only I can see a line (I'm pretty good at spotting faint positives I think) but because it's been a long time since I've done these tests I'm unsure if where I see the line is where the line would be (if that makes sense?) can someone post the same test showing positive? Then I can see if it's where I see the line.

Whereland · 20/01/2021 13:58

I just feel like I'd be really clutching a straws, I'm taking that FRER as a negative and If still no period in another few days I'll get another test

OP posts:
AngelicPP · 20/01/2021 14:10

I've marked where I see a line...it's not close together like the lines shown on the test as positive but I see it further apart...how close are the lines supposed to be?

Is this a line..
Whereland · 20/01/2021 14:54

I don't think they're meant to be as close together as on the little picture. But I feel like it's so faint that it's disappearing..

theantsgomarchin · 20/01/2021 15:33

Oh OP 😭

I agree, that FRER doesn't look positive to me especially for 15DPO. But your period is overdue, so maybe you ovulated late this month? I've been pregnant twice and both times I had lines at 9DPO, and by 10DPO a very clear line on FRER, so for me that would be negative.

However - knowing these forums there are lots and lots of people who do ovulate later than they think (even temping and using ovulation sticks) so you're not out until AF arrives.

My advice, ditch the internet cheapies.

It never matter personally what time of day I used FRER, if there was a line there was a line. Even very diluted, the line was there. Can you take another?

Whereland · 20/01/2021 15:42

Yeah I do think I'm out, I think it was a chemical pregnancy. There really should be an obvious line on the FRER at 15DPO.
According to my ovulation tests I ovulated on day 14 and I had obvious ovulation cramping too.
Ah well, maybe next month

calimommy · 20/01/2021 16:08

I see the line OP 👍 I've had 7 pregnancies, you might have ovulated later than you think.

Whereland · 20/01/2021 16:30

🤯 😂 my brain can't take the not knowing! I'll test again in the morning.

Got period this morning. Guessing that counts as a chemical pregnancy?

I'd be more inclined to say a dodgy batch of ICs personally as it was only that one brand that showed positives if I'm not mistaken?
theantsgomarchin · 21/01/2021 09:35

So sorry and hope you're feeling ok Thanks

Whereland · 21/01/2021 10:08

The clear blue had a faint positive yesterday morning too. Spoke to my GP and she thinks most likely a chemical. I'm not too upset just a bit disappointed after getting my hopes up!

OP posts:
AngelicPP · 21/01/2021 11:57

Ah I'm so sorry. Don't get disheartened tho. I thought I'd fall pregnant with my fourth as easily as I seemed to with my previous children but it took a lot longer and it was frustrating especially because I had fallen so easily before. But it still happened. I had to try and calm down and relax and try and just let it happen and then it did. Also remember the fact we can get early response tests and cheapo tests that we don't mind using often can be a great thing but it can also be a bad thing too...you would never have know about a chemical if you didn't have those tests. I'm not saying not to test early as it's hard not to when you have the option but just try to remember that it happens and it doesn't reflect on your ability to be pregnant. You only need ONE sticky bean after all!! You are allowed to wallow tho (just for a little bit!) then dust yourself off and onto the this months cycle of trying!! Good luck and be kind to yourself today xx

Whereland · 21/01/2021 12:37

Thank you 😊
I totally agree about having the cheapy tests available, it's too tempting to just keep testing. Not buying them again and not going to test early again. I've had two healthy pregnancies so just bad luck (I'm hoping) that the last two didn't stick.
Thanks for the replies 😊
