Heavy periods and infertility

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about a year now and it's just not happening. I have a regular cycle but I have really heavy periods.

I've worked myself in to a frenzy this evening after two friends text me to tell me they're pregnant and I just started my period.

Was wondering if any of the ladies in here also have really heavy period but have managed to conceive.

I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling. Having friends who get pregnant while you're silently going through this is always a kick in the gut.

I have always had very heavy periods. I use a cup so I know how much blood I lose and it's around triple the average.

My first daughter was conceived by accident and I did not appreciate how tough it could be until we were TTC for baby number 2. We tried for 15 months, and had 5 miscarriages. Eventually, I decided I couldn't keep on trying with odds like that, and on our absolute last chance month, I conceived DD2.

I don't know if my heavy periods contributed to the issues we had. Doctors weren't interested in investigating because neither me not my husband were particukarky old, and we already had a child, so we're low priority. You may have more luck with yours.

I know that's not much help, but maybe it'll offer you some hope. I'm sorry you're having difficulties, OP. Infertility is shit.
