So this is my first post here and I have yet to learn the forum lingo haha so apologies for that. Just looking for advice or if anyone has been in a similar situation, I'm interested in hearing their stories and learning about their outcomes.
My OH and I did the deed on the 25th, 26th and the 28th December and this may be TMI but each time was more than once.

With all the craziness going on I forgot to take my pill for 3 days, which were the 30th and 31st December and the 1st January.
The pill I'm on is a progesterone only one (Zelleta - the 12h kind). I had brown spotting on the 2nd and 3rd of January which I assume was from missing 3 pills.

We haven't been intimate since the 28th December. The last few days I've felt off, with mild headaches. I even took a dreaded covid test on Thursday evening just to rule that out - still waiting for the results! But for the past two days I've felt nauseous, today has been for almost the whole day, my tummy has felt wishy washy, I've had a few hot flushes and I've had some panty line level cramping on and off.

Googling this - some sites say that emergency contraception should be used for 2 or more missed pills if intercourse has taken place in the few days before they were missed and some sites only mention emergency contraception being taken if the intercourse takes place during the days or the few days after the pills have been missed.

I took a test today and it was negative. I know this can be just a negative or it could be too early.
At first I was like 😬 when I thought I could maybe be pregnant just because I'm in my first year of uni but now I've had the last two days to think about it I'm getting used to the idea. If I were to be it would be a very wanted baby. Just a surprise. (although I know technically it would be my fault for missing the pills but at the time of missing them I genuinely didn't realise I hadn't taken them)

Anyway I suppose I'm just wondering if anyone has been in the same or similar situation to this and what your stories are 😊

I am in a similar situation i finished my time of the month Tuesday the 11th I took my pill on Monday and Tuesday
I forgot to pack my pill when away for a few nights so forgot to take the Wednesday and Thursday but I took my Wednesday and Friday pill together and my Thursday and Saturday pill together advised my the chemist

We then done the deed on the Friday and Saturday but used extra protection and no fluids passed my body pulled out as well sorry I know tmi

I have been feeling sick and sore boobs I contacted my gp who said it would be to early to tell if I was pregnant that the pain I have in my boobs and feeling like a period is due is because I have mixed my hormones up basically and it will settle down after my next period which is due a week on Thursday

I feel sick but I think I am worrying and convincing myself I have pregnancy symptoms

I did take a clear blue which was negative and when I look again 5 hours or so later it looked positive but I would say it’s more likely a Evap line blues are bad for this I believe
I then took a pink die test today which was 100% negative

What was your out come I am so scared I am not ready for another baby my little one is still so young she’s not even a year old yet

Similar happened to me, had been on the mini pill for years and then accidentally forgot to bring them when away for about 4 days. DTD at least once during that time but carried on taking it as soon as I got home. No pregnancy Smile.

I guess it depends as well whether you're even in your fertile period, though obviously not usually any way of telling when you're on the pill, certainly the mini pill.

I wouldn't worry too much if you've been taking it regularly for a long time as it does take a while for some people's bodies to get rid of the hormones anyway and the mini pill does stop ovulation for many people so the chances are quite slim (though obvs still possible).

Fingers crossed I am 95% sure but there is still that small part of me

I think I am just imagining the symptoms tbh I have a little one so I feel like I am having middle symptoms that I has when I was pregnant

I track my period on my app and it says I wasn’t due to ovulate until the following Wednesday the 19th so I think it’s very slim

I have seen people saying if you forget to take the pill it can make you ovulate quicker than normal I have been on my pill for 9 months and never missed it until now so I hope everything is fine and I am just over thinking it

I know I sound selfish saying I am not ready for baby number two I just want everything to be in place before we try for another baby when the timing is right for both us and our little one she is still so small I don’t want her to grow up feeling pushed out or mummy didn’t have enough time for me because she has my baby brother or sister

Bibidy · 24/05/2021 17:24

Not at all selfish! You've still got a little baby to look after, last thing you need currently is a pregnancy. Totally understandable.

I'm sure it will be fine though Smile. I think you would be very unlucky to fall pregnant when you didn't even DTD on the days you actually missed your pills and were already taking it again by the time you did.
