How many days before your period did you test positive?

Hello all and good luck to those TTC,

I'm 5 days before my period, so 6 days before a missed period, with a BFN on FRER. 10DPO.

When did you all get a BFP? And what sort of test? I've just bought a pack of 50 IC on Amazon because I'm going through so many FRER.

Anyone have a negative on FRER at this point followed by a positive a day or two later?

Trying to remain hopeful!

I did.Tested last Fri and Sat and bfn.
Period was due on Tues and never came.
Tested last night and bfp.
Spoke to my Dr this morning and her opinion was I shouldn't have tested until after period was due.

Diorissimo1985 · 08/01/2021 17:17

Yes! I got a positive on a FRER at 12dpo but had two very, very faint positives on internet cheapies at 10dpo and 11dpo. Used first wee of the the day.
I was wasting money on the FRER and the ICs were just as good. Fingers crossed for you OP!

TJ17 · 08/01/2021 17:18

I got negatives right up until 6 days AFTER missed period. Hang on in there Thanks

Chica1990 · 08/01/2021 17:18

I was 11 dpo and tested a day before period was due when I got my bfp. Good luck!!

Sanne48 · 08/01/2021 17:20

My 2 negatives were in FRER and then I just presumed AF was en route so didn't test again until yest when I realised I was 2 days late.

LAgeDeRaisin · 08/01/2021 17:23

I know I should wait, but I have no self control Grin

Good to hear stories of positive tests later in the cycle! I'll feel less guilty about peeing every morning on an IC- here's hoping they'll arrive soon.

0 days only on the day of period due. Zilch no faints in the days before but clear strong positive on the day.

Bolshybun · 08/01/2021 17:26

10dpo very faint. 11dpo definitely positive. Period usually arrived 12/13dpo x

rosegold33 · 08/01/2021 17:39

I kept get bfn of frer until day period was due with 2 previous pregnancys but this time im still testing too early and feelimg crap when it comes back negative!

2020wish · 08/01/2021 17:46

I got my BFP 7dpo ok clear blue 6 days early test. I’m now 29 weeks pregnant. I knew what day I ovulated due to bbt and ewcm. Plus my dates match up exactly with ovulation.

I will say tho that in 4 out of my 5 pregnancies frer never ever gave me a positive at all! Until I was well late for AF.although clear blue always were realiable . I wouldn’t rate an frer.

Best of luck and fingers crossed for ur BFP x

scramblesontoast · 08/01/2021 17:51

I tested negative on a FRER 4 days before my period and then got my BFP on another FRER 2 days later! Good luck to you OP! Flowers

Mommabear20 · 08/01/2021 17:51

I got both my BFPs on the day my period was due. With this pregnancy I tested 2 days before my period was due and it was negative so was very shocked when I got a positive 2 days later 😂

Bleepers · 08/01/2021 18:34

4 days i think but very faint!

Amz6219 · 08/01/2021 20:54

11dpo on FRER both times, negative on anything else x

LAgeDeRaisin · 08/01/2021 20:57

Interesting how people get results at such different times. And that 1 person doesn't rate FRER as I keep reading about people using them.

Reading the replies here and stories on the other threads too is keeping me sane!

Hi, I’m currently sat so confused 🤷🏼‍♀️
Basically - I came on my period 21st of December 2020. I have a 26 day cycle so I’m due on 17th of jan 2021 which is another 9 days away.
I took a pregnancy test today because of how I’m feeling ‘ kinda have that feeling ‘ if anyone understands that 🤦🏼‍♀️
It came back positive ( dinner time )
I took another another 2 and I’m second guessing if I could see a faint line or if there negative ? I’ve now binned them so I haven’t got a picture

Is it even possible to get a positive so early on ? I will be retesting closer to my period date but is it possible I could be pregnant ??

DressingGownofDoom · 08/01/2021 21:07

I think it was 4 or 5 days before my period was due and just a cheap clear & simple test.

Tyxx · 08/01/2021 21:09

I’ve got what I think is implation pain.. but I’m so confused over the positive test 9 days before my period is even due! Unless I ovulated early on in my cycle

Unicorn93 · 08/01/2021 21:45

I got a negative on frer at 11dpo so thought I was out, was due AF on weds so did a test with a free and got a faint positive, done another I’m not 16dpo and it’s got darker x

LAgeDeRaisin · 08/01/2021 21:56

@Tyxx was it light bleeding that could have been an implantation bleed in December?

Otherwise, you might have ovulated early, or (hopefully not, but) could it be evaporation line?

If it were me i'd buy a cheap 2 pack of tests and pee in the morning to confirm. Fingers crossed for you!

Not sure if this is helpful to know but I got a negative First Response test result a week before my period was due to start. Then tested again with Clear Blue when my period was six days late and got a positive due in July! Good luck! Xx
LAgeDeRaisin · 08/01/2021 23:16

@discoballs88 very helpful! I needed some hope- been feeling down as I caved and have another BFN. Fingers crossed for tomorrow which will be 4 days before AF.
The ICs can't come quickly enough.

Were your cycles normally regular?

What's the point of testing so early? You won't actually be expecting a baby until implantation is well established. No point at all in trying to find out if you have conceived or not before then. You know most conceptions don't implant successfully, don't you.
