Surely there’s zero chance I’m pregnant?

What do you think the percentage chance of me being pregnant is?

  • period is 9 weeks late
  • 2 pregnancy tests have been negative
  • I’m over 45 and periods have been slightly erratic, but the most to now was about 10 days late
  • other half had a vasectomy about 10 years ago, and was tested at the time to confirm it was successful
  • I was getting hot flushes, but these suddenly stopped a few weeks ago
  • I feel quite full around the abdomen, but we’ve just had Christmas
  • I’ve been a bit dizzy and needing to wee more frequently, but nothing else of note, boobs not sore, no queasiness or feeling different
I’m thinking that taking into account all of the above, I’m just getting old and the chances of me being pregnant are zero?!

Menopause surely?

My first thought was also the menopause?
Or at least perhaps perimenopause when things start going a bit haywire with your cycles and hormones?
Could you perhaps contact your gp and explain you’re currently 9 weeks late for af and see if there’s anything they suggest?
