No AF today, lots of CM, negative tests?

Hi ladies

So long story short....I’m on the gedarel 20/150 combination pill and have been for the last 10 years. Normally very good at taking it but missed it on 23rd 24th 25th and 26th Dec. Had unprotected sex on 3 of the 4 missed days. Had what I assumed to be a breakthrough bleed from 28th-30th (pinkish blood, cramping). Last pill on Thursday and I ALWAYS come on on the Sunday ie. today but so far, nothing.

Yesterday and today I keep feeling that AF is here, rush to the loo to check and either there’s nothing there or I have thick, whitish CM. Have had low level cramping since the breakthrough bleed, also with lower back pain yesterday and today (not usual for AF). Also had sharper pains over to right side, behind hip bone yesterday and day before but nothing there today.

Took a CB Ultra Early yesterday and today, as well as an IC - all negative. AF technically not “late” yet, will be 1 day late tomorrow.

Been getting very hot at night, but hands and feet are like ice. Breasts a teeny bit tender. Lack of appetite. Had some cheese 2 days ago and it tasted so weird I actually went to check if it was out of date - nope, perfectly fine.

Is my cycle just messed up now because I missed the pills and had a breakthrough bleed? Or could I be pregnant and HCG just too low to be picked up on a HPT? Any opinions much appreciated!!

Hi pepper I’m in nearly the same boat you were in - missed one pill, took others at irregular times - now cramping, lots of CM, bloating, appetite changes... How did you get on? Was it just hormones being crazy as always?

In my case it was just my hormones going haywire, I seemed to “skip” a period, and had nearly 8 or 9 weeks between the bleeds? When I did bleed, only lasted 2 days but that was my first proper period off the pill and I’ve been on it so long I can’t remember what my normal periods are like.

Thanks Pepper - hope things settle down for you soon. I’m in my 7 day break now and awaiting AF... symptoms seem to have calmed down thank goodness. Did you neve they AF while on the pill? I always get mine if I take the 7 day break. Wish they’d invent something you could take every day that would avoid the inconvenience of periods and crazy hormone symptoms....

Lots of CM is a big pregnancy symptom as it's your body's way of keeping bacteria away from baby. Wait a few days and test again. Try a frer xx

@Aquarius1 I always had my withdrawal bleed in my 7 day break, but it didn’t appear in the 7 days this time so I didn’t restart my pill again. It was 6 weeks later before I finally bled. I have always been super regular on the pill, last one on Thursday and always came on on the Sunday so this was super weird for me. Have since stayed off the pill and I’m waiting on AF again, should arrive in 10 days. The waiting is horrible isn’t it?! I felt like I was imagining so many symptoms!
