Just what it says really! Bummed out because AF didn’t arrive when it should have on New Year’s Day, has 2 BFNs and AF came today. Wanted to start 2021 with positive news! Feel really rubbish because I had a feeling it worked this month but boy was I wrong!!

Any advice or anything you guys have tried which will help please let me know! Everyone says relax but how do I relax lol! I feel I’m becoming that person who is getting desperate and now I’m getting so bummed out when AF comes. I’m 31, no kids xx

Hi OP,

Are you using ovulation sticks? If not, then do Smile

@AKcheer feel exactly the same as you! been TTC for our first since July with no luck - when I started the journey I said I would be happy if I fell pregnant by christmas so this month has been tough for me! I'm 32 in a few weeks so also worrying as I feel like age isn't on my side (as I would like more than one) xx

Our first took 18 months of tracking, opks, apps and then the month we fell I didnt track as it was juat stressing me out. For me relaxing means no tracking, DTD every 2-3 days from CD 10 until 20 depending on your cycle. Its tough hut it will happen, good luck

Hi everyone thanks for your messages!

@Sway19 yes I am using OPKs :)

@hopefully2021 it’s hard isn’t it. It’s really got to me too because I thought Dec/Jan il be pregnant and I’m really not. I’ve never been pregnant or ever seen a faint line or a line on a preg test. I can’t even imagine what an amazing feeling that must be! I feel you, I want more than 1 too and I feel I should have started trying earlier. I just don’t know what to think.

@Rightthen24 Oh wow 18 months? I think everyone forgets what a journey this can actually be. Yeah sometimes I feel do I need to stop tracking to relax but then I think what happens if I don’t ovulate and get a Lh surge and I didn’t realise it!

Hi @AKcheer, I feel similar to you! Me and DH said when we started in Aug that we would be happy if it happened before xmas but here we still are. Have you looked into using preseed? Obv it hasnt worked for me so far (used the last 2 months) but I hear good things. I've also stopped using OPKs as was getting a touch obsessive about them! Just DTD every other day and when I feel ovulation pains try and do it a bit more. Other things to look at might be Pregnacare vitamins (his n hers) and following the Sperm Meets Egg Plan (SMEP). I say all these things...yet I'm still waiting for my BFP Grin but stuff to think about. Good luck! X

Also, don't worry too much about 'relaxing'. People conceive in all sorts of stressful situations. Unless you are actually so stressed you aren't ovulating, I dont think it should affect anything - just puts more pressure on you and makes you feel it is your fault! X
