Hi everyone

I'm not a regular poster but some might remember be. Wanted to tell my story in hope that might help.

Have one ds, been ttc since June 2002. MC in Jan 2004, had 3 failed iui treatments in 2005. had elevated fsh and was finally told last year that I have practically zero chance of conceiving.

Went on a mission, read lots of books about nutrition, supplements and lifestyle changes. I made major changes in my lifestyle a year ago...cut out meant, dairy alcohol, caffiene, bascialy lived on fruit veg, fish, nuts and seeds!! had been taking pregnacare for years.

Only changes I have made over past couple of months is: came off the pregnacare and just took folic acid, B6, zinc, calcium and EPA. I also started reflexology and tried homeopathy (herbal rememdys).

I am convinced that its the reflexology that did it for me as it completely relaxed me. My reflexologist was experienced with fertility and knew which areas to target.

I had 6 sessions of reflexology and one session of homeopathy and bingo! still can't beleive it.

still a long way to go yet before can completely relax. I'm 39 and the risk of mc/abnormalies are increased so am going to keep our news to ourselves for as long as we can.

Basically, don't give up hope. 5 years is a long time and I was starting to think it wasn't going to happen but it can and it will. If I can be written off by so called fertility experts then get pg naturally then anyone can do it

Best of luck to everyone x

Fantastic! Congratulations .

I conceived after 6 weeks of reflexology after 4 years ttc. Has to be something in it, even if it's just relaxation.

flamingtoaster · 25/10/2007 14:14

Gosh thats amazing - all the very best!

dizzy36 · 25/10/2007 14:23

thanks so much everyone.

Forgot to mention that this month I had my day 2 hormone levels checked and they were:

FSH - 9.3
LSH -4
Oestrodial - 86 pmol

anyone who has fsh issuues will know that 9.3 isn't brilliant.

Congratulations dizzy. It also took me 5 years to produce dd (ttc - actual birth, so slightly less time than you).

I'm currently having reflexology as we've been ttc no 2 for a year, so hoping it can work for us too!

SheherazadetheFriendlyGhost · 25/10/2007 15:55

that is fantastic!

tigerschick · 25/10/2007 15:57

Oh wow!
Congratulations - here's to a happy, healthy pregnancy

coggy · 25/10/2007 16:02

FANTASTIC news Dizzy.....it also took us nearly 5 years and then we 'randomly' fell pg with DS.

I hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Janus · 26/10/2007 03:51

Congratulations dizzy, you must be ecstatic! Hope you have a wonderful pregnancy x

Gracie14 · 26/10/2007 20:31

Congrats Dizzy What fantastic news.

I have also just got my BFP after 13 months ttc (obviously no where near 5 years ttc) but have been having reflexology over the last month and I am sure it was the thing that helped for me. Would highly recommend it
