Who is testing soon?

Currently 11/12 dpo. Expecting the witch on Thursday and trying my best not to waste money on test until she is late!!
Distracting myself by reading books, long walks and eating lots...
Anyone else coming up for test day?

@Idreamof2more with a 28 day cycle you first day of bleeding is day 29. Day 29 becomes CD1 of the next cycle. However cycle length can vary depending on exactly when you ovulated. 👍🙂

@DeeDee20 it definitely could be a good sign. Only way to know for sure is to take a test.

Ahhh @Curiosity101 that means I am not due until tomorrow then on my 28 day cycle. Only taken me 40 Years to understand that 🙈. Thought 28 day cycle meant you bled day 28. 🤣

@Idreamof2more cycles range between 29-34 but last month I was 7 days late, got 2x BFN and my period was so weird, literally felt a pop and it all came out. So don’t know if I’m late now because of that. I’m so nervous to test. Hard seeing those BFN. Xx

@deedee20 this month marks 2 years trying. I'm 29 now and its our first. I have been referred to the fertility clinic at the end of March though so hopefully we can move forward with a plan

Ah ladies I just tested and BFN. I just don’t understand what’s going on. My periods never go over cd30. Last month was cd34 and that weird period and now I’m on cd32.i have mild cramping in the morning but nothing like my usual PMS. Why is this so heartbreaking xxx

@DeeDee20 Sorry to see your update 😔. I really recommend OPKs for avoiding situations like this. For me I found bit really useful to know when I'd ovulated so that I also knew when I could test and would also know for sure if I was late for my period or not.

@Curiosity101 thank you for your reply. I feel so rubbish right now. We DTD every other day for 2 weeks to make sure we cover it all. I’ve been using CB ovulation sticks for many months. I got my peak on cd21 and we had DTD cd20, cd21, cd22 and cd24Xxx

@DeeDee20 Hopefully you get your BFP but if you don't then the good news is you can work out your luteal phase length. Then you'll know for sure in future if you're late or not.

You're only 10DPO at the moment so plenty of time yet to get a BFP.

The average luteal phase is 12-14 days so it's also likely your period isn't due for 2-4 more days.

I’m using the Flo app to track periods and it says I’m late. Im so confused.
How do I work out the luteal phase?
Last month I got a peak on cd16 and the month before that cd13, cd13 before that too. Xx

@DeeDee20 Did you input all your CB ovulation peaks into Flo? If not then Flo will be assuming you have a 'standard' 28-day cycle where you ovulate on CD14. That will be why it says you're late when you're not.

Your luteal phase is the number of days after ovulation and before your period starts. So (I think) if you get to 12DPO and then the next day your period arrives then you have a 12-day luteal phase. I can't quite remember for sure if it's inclusive of the day your period arrives or not but I don't think it is.

If you have ovulation data and period arrival dates for previous cycles then you can work yours out. The day after your peak is assumed to be ovulation day. Then just count how many days after that it was until your period arrived. It should be about the same every cycle. Normally the variation in cycle length comes from ovulation happening at a different time.

@Curiosity101 I just write the peaks in the Flo app as I don’t think there is somewhere where I can specifically put it in?! My cycles are down as an average 29 days.

Just worked out my last luteal was 18 days and before that was 14 days. Makes some sense I guess as I peaked on cd21 this month and cd16 last month.
God I feel like I’m getting myself in knots with all of this, that’s why we Dtd every other day for 2 weeks in Dec xxx

Hey girls hope you don’t mind me joining in here, first time on this site and first time TTC. How at the age of 33 am I only just learning about the two week wait I’ll never know, but I already hate it!!!

I’ve been tracking my cycle on flo for a while, my ovulation was day 14 of cycle and I’m expecting AF on 10th Jan. How soon can I test?! Any recommendations for best tests? I feel clueless!

I’ve been feeling strange this week, felt a bit travel sick / literally can not stop burping lol and have a really congested nose?! I’m scared I’m imagining these things and partner is telling me to be patient and that these things could be down to anything. But I just want to know!!!

@CJ2021hey! I started ttc my first at 33 too and I had no idea about any of this and we’ve been trying for 7 months now.
I found the Flo app was getting my ovulation dates way out so now use CB ovulation sticks. But I’m still learning about luteal phase and when is best to test etc.
Fingers crossed for us both and everyone.

After today I feel particularly down but speaking on here and with others makes me feel less alone in this journey. Xx
