Hey Peeps,

This time last year I had a chemical. Shitting bricks as I don’t want history to repeat itself as I may turn into the Mayor of Whoville if it happens again.

I tested 4dp5dt and got a faint + well to the naked eye it properly didn’t appear that way but to me under a torch I could see it. Wouldn’t show in pics tho.

Today my other tests arrived, I tried one and a faint line appeared (pics). Is this far too light for 6dp5dt? I have inverted the pics.

I’ve been using frer for testing. So nervous.

Thanks for your help in advance and happy holidays!

Looks ok to me. The key is what progression you have in 24 hours time.

Squaretoe · 27/12/2020 13:26

I think this is fine for 6dp5dt but like PP said, it’s the progression you’re looking for. Test again tomorrow, or the day after if you can wait. Good luck! And congratulations!

Brenna24 · 27/12/2020 13:29

That's only the equivalent of 11dpo. Most people still don't get anything at that stage. I generally don't see anything until about 15 or 16dpo. It is great that you are seeing anything at all.

PurpleRayne89 · 27/12/2020 13:32

@welshweasel Thank you for responding. I’m really scared about it ending the same way as before. I’ve been trying for more than 5 years. I’ll check again Monday which is my OTD and update.

@Squaretoe Thanks for responding! I hear ya, I will update with further test and betas.

PurpleRayne89 · 27/12/2020 13:36

@Brenna24 really? I’ve read on so many boards people testing and seeing + earlier. I will update. I have 1 test left which I’ll keep for my OTD as they’re far too expensive.

How are things going?

PurpleRayne89 · 10/01/2021 18:17

Hi @Brenna24 thanks for asking. So today I’m 5+4 weeks pregnant. First hCG was 133, second 370 then 2701 at just under 5 weeks. I have another tomorrow. I have a 6 week scan booked. Things seem to be going well so far. My tests became darker and darker and I eventually for my 3+ weeks on a CBD at 4+5.

@PurpleRayne89 - congrats !! I hope you don't mind me jumping in on the post but I wanted to check what you meant with your DP dates ? I normally only go via DPO but yours are written slightly different ? I'm day four of missed period which works out at about 15dpo and a few days ago I took a FRER test, there was the faintest line so faint that to be honest I was convinced it was an evap line but still no sign of period yet, I don't want to waste another FRER maybe I should wait till a week late before testing again? Just wondered what everyone's experience was with testing after missed period? I had always assumed it should be a clear positive at this point if I'm actually preggo? Xx

PurpleRayne89 · 10/01/2021 20:06

@Luan82
So I had a frozen embryo transfer via IVF. So I meant 6 day post 5 day embryo transfer. So the embryo was cultured until day 5 when it was a blastocyst. A little different to IUI or natural conception.

First Response do not have evap lines in my experience so if there is a line then it’s positive. Just wait for the line to get stronger 😌 if you have a picture post it.

I first got a faint line 4 days post 5 day transfer and it was too faint for the camera to pick up so the first test that was even remotely visible I posted here and started this post they have since gotten progressively darker. X

@PurpleRayne89 - wonderful! Thanks for clarifying, I'm actually due to go in for keyhole surgery prior to IVF (though lockdown has other ideas!) - my last pregnancy was ectopic so am even more paranoid and nervous than usual !! I'll try and post a pic - many congratulations on your successful transfer though, gives me so much hope should we progress to that point ❤️🙏🏼🌈 xxx

PurpleRayne89 · 10/01/2021 21:14

@Luan82 thank you. I had to have surgery to remove fibroid prior to. Albeit before lockdown. I know the stress you’re dealing with as our IVF was delayed in the March lockdown for months. Our first cycle failed.

I do wish you the best in your journey and I know that it will eventually happen for you. It took 3 cycles of IUI and 1 IVF cycle for it to work for us. So much medication and anxiety. Doesn’t sound like a lot but considering the tests, the surgeries it’s been since 2017. X

@PurpleRayne89 it's very tricky to catch it- it's such a pale line and the surface of the test screen kept reflecting the light ! I have a few more FRERs on order so should be able to test again in the next few days 🙏🏼🌈x

PurpleRayne89 · 10/01/2021 21:23

@Luan82 thanks for sharing. I can see it but I have a knack with those things. It looks positive to me. As you tested a few days ago, perhaps repeating it? That’s the only way you would know. Fingers and toes crossed for you!!! X

@PurpleRayne89 wow - that is a lot, bless you! I'm just up to a year now, 6 months ttc before ectopic and 3 months after medication before we could try again, another three months later here we are. Thanks so much for your kind words and wishing you all the best in your pregnancy ✨💙💗 xxx

PurpleRayne89 · 10/01/2021 22:28

@Luan82 thank you and you’re more than welcome. Everyone’s journey is unique just have to remain positive and it will happen.

Sorry to hear about your ectopic also. Scary stuff x x

@Luan82 hello love. Did you test again? X

OP posts:
Luan82 · 12/01/2021 15:13

@PurpleRayne89 I did - unfortunately negative and my period has appeared five days late, I think it's down to pregnacare capsules I'd been taking so have come off them with immediate effect !! Think I'm going to have to put my hopes in the surgeon when I eventually get booked in for my laparoscopic surgery 😭😫 thanks for checking up though !! Xxx

PurpleRayne89 · 12/01/2021 15:15

@Luan82 pregnancy tests rarely give a false positive so most likely a chemical. I wish you the best with your surgery and I pray you get your rainbow soon. X
