Do progesterone symptoms mean you have definitely ovulated?

As per title! Tender swollen boobs about 5/6dpo which I am taking to be progesterone related. Do you only get progesterone rise if you've ovulated?

I think it's a reasonably safe assumption if you're getting progesterone symptoms. The progesterone rise is from the corpus luteum as far as I was aware. I don't believe you'd have one of you hadn't ovulated.
