Title says it all really! Predicted ovulation is Boxing Day.

Just came onto month 3 of TTC and I’ve only had one drink which was last month on my period. Really want to lighten up and have one around Christmas but due to ovulation being due around then I don’t want to lower our chances of conceiving?

DH will be drinking! But I’m unsure yet. Was really hoping our little gift this year would be that we conceive around Christmas (fingers crossed) and I don’t really want to do anything that’ll get in the way of that!

So ladies, are you drinking around Christmas ?

Hi @Babababababybellll

If your trying the safest thing is not to drink. It’s unlikely to affect an embryo if it is before ovulation But the problem is that you may not know. It’s a tough one as it’s a fine line, but in my experience if there is room for doubt it causes worry.

Would you consider taking a break over Xmas? I did when trying for my first as I was younger and had plenty time. I had a great Xmas and got PH in early feb.

I’m currently In ine TWW So I’ve made my bed!

Think how many women get pregnant as a result of getting a bit drunk - it won’t affect your chances at all. Relax and enjoy Christmas and have a drink. And if you did conceive then having a drink around that time would have zero impact on the fertilised egg as it’s not connected to your blood stream for quite a while.
