Anyone have their own usual AF symptoms before BFP?

Just out of curiosity during an excruciating TWW!

Has anyone had their own usual AF symptoms but actually had a BFP? I always seem to get cramps up to a week before AF, and have them again so pretty sure I'm out :( Only 8DPO so a while yet until I can put myself out of my misery!

Thanks :)

I was recently pregnant but it ended in MC unfortunately.
I kind of knew before the BFP because I didn't have my normal AF symptoms. I was feeling very similar but not quite the same. For example, I didn't get any spots on my face and I didn't feel heaviness on my tummy when I was exercising. The latter is a dead giveaway for AF for me and, unfortunately, it was also a sign of an impending MC.
All in all though, all these things are looked at in retrospect after you confirm pregnancy. The 2WW is an absolute b#tch, I hope it ends with a BFP for you, fingers crossed!! 🤞🏼

I had usual sore boobs and cramps leading up to my BFP. I was so convinced I was out again that month. Honestly it’s so hard to distinguish between AF and PG symptoms during the TWW!

@eloiseislost Aw I'm so sorry to hear that :( Are you actively TTC again or not yet? It's hard, isn't it ❤️

Thanks so much for this, and yes you are right...it is an ABSOLUTE b#tch, least favourite part of every month 😂 Trying to stay realistic and not get my hopes up!

@Nat4392 Ah did you? It's crazy, isn't it? Good to know for sure!
I have my usual cramps that I always get and that's usually my only PMS symptom, so the fact it's just cramps again is making me want to try and keep my expectations low...but it's so hard to do that 😂🙈 Thank you!

@KerryW87 I'm 10DPO at the moment and have had AF like symptoms but they feel more intense and started earlier than the AF ones usually would.

I'm due on Boxing Day so fingers crossed she doesn't turn up 🤞🏻

@KerryW87 We decided not to waste any eggs, so I tracked with OPKs when the bleeding stopped and started trying immediately. I ovulated this cycle per my BTT and our timing was good so we'll see! It is so very sad, even when you know miscarriages are common, it is heartbreaking. 💔 But onwards and upwards!
I usually start testing at 9-10DPO so I'm a terrible 2WWer! 🙈🙉🙊

@Amyc94 Ah I'll keep everything crossed for you! I'm not far behind you, here's hoping we get some good news 🤞

@eloiseislost Absolutely feel you on that, it really is ❤️ I sadly lost my wee boy at 18 weeks, he was born on 19th July and amidst the grief I was overcome with this need to try again which I'm quite sure many didn't understand, but I felt the same as you. Sadly it hasn't happened yet but got to keep hoping that it will!

Haha, we are the SAME PERSON 😂 You know you'll likely disappoint yourself and waste tests but I'm too impatient! When will you be due to test? Will keep everything crossed for you ❤️

@KerryW87 I am so, so sorry to hear about your wee boy, I literally shed a tear. One of my friends had a second trimester loss and she went on to have two beautiful kids, but she always says that her first one is her angel and watches over her and her alive babies. 🥲 I'm really sorry, sending you a virtual hug.

What's "funny" is that I tested at 10DPO last cycle, because it was my birthday, and it was whiter than white BFN. I spent the entire day bawling my eyes out and drinking wine and the next morning boom, BFP! Our bodies are trolling us, I'm telling you! 😆
I have short luteal phase (11 days) so if AF doesn't arrive by the 1st, I'll be late.
My plan is to not test until I'm late for 1 week, maybe 2, because my MC was early at 6 weeks so I want to get over that mark if possible. But, knowing me, I'll probably New Year's eve or thereabouts! 😅
I really wish, from the bottom of my heart, that you get your BFP and your rainbow baby very soon! 🌈 😘

@KerryW87 And as soon as I typed this message, I looked out the window from my office and saw this… I take it as a good sign! 🙂

@eloiseislost You've made me tear up! What a lovely, kind message. Thank you so much, I so appreciate it ❤️ It has been the most surreal, painful few months but in amidst it all it's shown me how kind and lovely people are, very lucky to have good people around us and I was really touched with your lovely message :) I miss him so much but trying to think of it as being lucky to have got to meet him at all, when others don't.

Oh wow! Really? You always assume you'd see something by that point, that is good to know! 😂🤞

Oh bless, I can absolutely understand that :( You've got to shield yourself as much as you can when you've experienced what you have 💔

Well, I have everything crossed for you and feel free to keep me updated! Also thank you so much 💕 Here's hoping that double rainbow is a good sign for you! Or both of us haha xx

@KerryW87 Well, it's a double rainbow, it could very well be for both of us! 😃
I will keep you up to date and I hope I hear good news from you very soon! 🌈
