Clear Blue Advanced Digital OPK...surely this can’t be right?

I’m CD9. Came off AF on Thursday, started doing the CB OPK’s on Sunday. Yesterday and Sunday, low fertility...today, static smiley face which I believe is peak?

Surely that can’t be right? How can I suddenly go from low fertility yesterday straight to peak today? I skipped the ‘flashing smiley’?

Also, CD9 seems very early to be ovulating? Though I guess I could be but I only came off 5 days ago?

I don’t have any cheapies to do another test so I guess I’ll just have to wait and test again tomorrow. We’ll DTD tonight anyway but I think it must be an error to skip the flashing smiley faces and just go straight to peak?

Hi OP, that does seem quite early but don't think it's impossible. I had a similar situation this month and went from the blank circle straight to peak without any flashing smileys. I think it just means the LH surge rises quite quickly.
I'd just say to keep testing, although I don't think you can test on the CB advanced for 48 hours as the peak smiley stays there for a couple of days!
Definitely DTD just in case, that way you're covered :)
Do you also temp? As if you see an increase in your temp that would also confirm ovulation

I do temp but only just started with that 3 days ago too so still kinda establishing everything atm. No rise today.

Mine sometimes go straight from low to peak too. How long are your cycles usually?

@CausingChaos2 28 days, sometimes 26/27 days.

I started using these last month and I had a high reading then a peak but no temperature increase to confirm ovulation. Tested again once the static smiley had gone and had 2 days of low readings which then went straight to peak.

I read somewhere that your body can get ready to ovulate and have the hormone surge but then fail to ovulate and then try again.
Same has happened to me this month. I just had my peak but no temperature rise so I will test again tomorrow and see ehat happens.

The month I conceived i went straight to static with no flashing. Unfortunately it was ectopic but goes to show straight to static isn't a problem. Good luck!
