I know this is very unlikely but I would just like some other peoples opinions.
I started to take the pill a couple of months ago as my fiancé and I are getting married in six months time and although we want kids, I would prefer to not be pregnant at the wedding. I believe I have been taken it correctly and that we waited long enough for it to be in my system before having unprotected sex but for the last couple of months I've had this feeling like I have a cold coming but it's never actually turned into a full on cold. I've also been bloated and feel like the pouch at the bottom of my stomach is a bit bigger as well as my boobs. Obviously this could just be that I've put on weight but I'm not eating anything out of the ordinary and I'm moving around more than I usually would so wouldn't think I would have gained weight. I've also been feeling sick in the afternoon / evenings and been having headaches for about a week.
My boobs have also been really sore over a month now.
I had a small bleed once I'd been taken the pill for a couple of weeks (which is roughly when my period naturally would have fallen) and then a period like bleed during my pill break a week later and then another period like bleed in my next pill break.

I know it is unlikely that I'm pregnant but I would like some other people's opinions to stop me being crazy and I'd also like to know if anyone has had these sort of symptoms after starting taking the pill.

@Emae26 Agreed. But it's odd you've got so much streaking on this test as well. Its definitely negative but I'm just thinking for future reference. If you do start TTC it's important to take a note of the test instructions and make sure you're reading it (and taking photos) during the correct timeframe.

All the best for the future! I hope everything goes to plan and you have a wonderful wedding next year 😊

@Curiosity101 I thought the exact same but I read the instructions fully on both test and followed them exactly... maybe a little quick reading the results! Is there anything else that could be causing it?
Thank you very much, all the best to you too. Thank you, I cannot wait! Hopefully in the next few years I'll be back on here, ready to start a family! 😊

The pill can cause pregnancy like symptoms. That's how it tricks your body into not ovulating - because it's tricking it into thinking you're already pregnant. So you can get a lot of similar symptoms. I know I did when I first went on it, and it only settled after about three months. Also, bleeding isn't always predictable when you first start taking a hormonal contraceptive so don't worry too much about that, either.

I'd take another couple of tests a week, then two weeks, apart - and if they're both negative stop worrying :).

@LindaEllen its been over 2 years since I've been on the pill so forgot about how much it messes with you to begin with!
Will do, thank you for your help
