Can photo editing make a negative test look positive?

I adjusted the contrast of this photo. Will that make even a negative test look very faintly positive? I see these sites full of edited photos of tests and I never know whether it’s ok to edit them or whether an edited very faint line is meaningless.

Photoshopping a second line in would obviously be pointless and potentially deceptive, but I think you mean just adjusting the qualities of the photo to highlight a faint line? If so then that's ok to do. If it is truly negative then no amount of adjusting will make a second line appear. Be careful that you don't make an indent or evap line look colourful though x

I'd test again in a couple of days if AF doesn't arrive x

Sorry, I didn’t mean can I fake a positive. I meant if I adjust the exposure and contrast and then see a faint line does that mean anything. I can see a faint line on my most recent test after doing that. But I feel like with enough adjustments you can probably make visible the second dye line even if it isn’t activated by HCG. So I this it’s wrong they have these TTC apps that have software to adjust the strips and compare them.

@Restorationandredecoration I've just came across your thread and while I may be a little bit late to saying that, I don't think the edited very faint line means anything. I'd retake the test and tried to see the result with my own eyes, not with the help of editing.
