Positive test at 10 DPO. Then negative a few hours later! What is going on !?!?

Hi all

So about 9 last night I did a test at 10DPO. It didn’t turn positive so I threw it in the bin. Had a look later on and there was a faint positive.

Myself and my partner were overjoyed!

Then of course I could barely sleep with the excitement and tested again at about 3am. It was negative!

Just done another one now and it’s also negative.

Anyone gone through this with a positive outcome??

That’s why they say you shouldn’t read the tests after the time stated as you could be seeing an evaporation line.
Test again in a few days. Good luck

The time stated on an FRER is 6 days before your expected period. I’m due mine in 4 days.
Got a positive on 8DPO with my first and feeling symptoms similar to then also.

Anyone have this and it was a positive in the end?

Just so disappointed. Onto Clomid for me this month then.

Even if it's a first response you can't rely on it hours after you've taken the test? If the test this morning was with first morning wee and it's negative and you were using a first response unfortunately I'd be inclined to believe the BFN rather than last nights test

This is such a cruel game isn’t it. Myself and partner last night talking about names and what we need to do etc ... then this morning it’s all gone.

Know this prob sounds a bit dramatic, but I was 100% invested.

Oh my god. Just did another test and got this! Maybe all is not lost!

What do you guys think??

Yea it did!!!! I’m 11DPO today. I can’t believe it. Fingers crossed all will be ok xxxx

I think the most recent is a line. The other thing is doing them later in the day means you will be more hydrated. Always use first morning wee and read within timeline. I hope that line is stronger in a few days

Hi I know this is very old post but the exact same has happened to me , done a test and it looked negative put it in the bin , went back a few hours later and saw another line . I took a test this morning and it was negative :( yesterday would have been 9-10 dpo and today is 10-11 dpo . Praying I get the same results as kittyz

Wow, this has taken me back!

This pregnancy ended in miscarriage for me unfortunately 🥺

Though I did conceive again in the may after this, and my 2.5 year old bundle of love is upstairs asleep in his cot. Best thing that’s ever happened to us, apart from his sister of course ❤️

I’m so sorry about your miscarriage 😢 but happy you got your little one now ! 🙏🏽 Thankyou for replying , my AF is due in 3 days we’ve been trying for 3 years and it’s been a hard and tough journey but this month I just feel so different but if my af is coming I just want it to arrive so I know 😞
