Faint Positive ovulation test day of due period

I'm not actively TTC so I'm not tracking anything! My periods have changed up the last several months from 31 to 35 days. Today is day 34 and my clue app notified me to a late cycle. I have 1 pregnancy test but I don't think I'm anywhere near 14dpo yet so I don't wanna waste it, I think I'm about 12dpo and it hasn't even been 2 weeks since we had sex, it will be 2 weeks in about 2 days? I think.
But I read somewhere that ovulation tests can sometimes pick up HCG and I have a few left so I took one and got a really faint line.
Anyone had a faint ovulation test and got their bfp after or had an ovulation test and got a bfn.

I think if the OPK is picking up hcg then the test line has to be as dark or darker than the control line, same way it would look when you get the LH surge. I've never had it but I've seen lots of them online when I was obsessively researching it lol. Of course it doesn't happen for everyone either so you could still be pregnant with a negative OPK.
