Just POAS and its positive, my last period was 82 days ago BUT I have done a few random pregnancy tests in that time that were negative so I don't think I'm that pregnant at all. I have nothing else to go on because I didn't even not the date of the tests.

Do I just self refer and wait or do I do a digital clear blue or try and do a private scan or what????

The clear blue only goes up to 5+ weeks but maybe that would be enough?

I would do a digital clear blue and then speak to your doctor. Maybe you could have a scan to see how far along you are.

Congratulations!

Did a test, "3+ weeks" so that narrows it down to 5-11 weeks...

How strong are your lines? Past the 6 week mark they go faint again due to the hook effect so that's should narrow it down a bit.

I'd just self refer and give them your LMP - they're used to this and will simply book you in for a dating scan to figure the real date out.

@Juno231 the cheapie test was pretty strong.

I did the referral and they called today, the woman I spoke to wasn't impressed that the digital test doesn't go past 5 weeks, she actually asked me to do one and then got a bit confused and thought that I was definitely 5 weeks. I've been booked in for a scan next week either for the 12 week checks or just to figure out what's going on in there.

Oh gosh yeah that's complicated. I suppose they have no option but to go from the date of your last period but its very likely that the pregnancy dates will change at the scan.

@olderthanyouthink lol that conversation sounds frustrating. "so for a normal person this would mean they're 7 weeks pregnant but with my pcos and longer cycles I could be X weeks pregnant" - mind. blown.

olderthanyouthink · 01/12/2020 17:43

@BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz they changed when I had my first scan for DD but not by that much, a week or less, there's a lot more scope here

@Juno231 🤦‍♀️"what do you mean you don't fit on this little wheel thing we have?" 😂 I've never had a regular period, Ive wondered about PCOS because of it.
