Evaporation line or faint positive???

So I took a test this morning, I'm due on my period today but nothing yet, have had 3 mc previously so find it hard to wait to take a test, especially as this time I want to try medication to help so want to find out ASAP.
With my previous pregnancy (which ended in mc) I got a positive 3 days after I was due on my period.
What do you think, is it a faint positive or an evaporation line??

Are they the same test? I can only see it on the second one - did it come up during the time?

RainbowsAndRain · 18/11/2020 15:01

They're both the same test, just adjusted the brightness because the camera wasn't picking it up clearly.
I did it at 5am in the morning bc I was so anxious and kept waking up thinking about it, at the time I don't think there was anything there but when I woke in the morning the line was there. Not sure if I just missed it when I did it bc I was half asleep Confused

I can see a faint line in both pics, both look like they have colour. I'd recommend getting a more sensitive test to clarify. Good luck x

I can definitely see a line in both, however it depends how long after you took the test that the line came up. How many DPO are you?

Someone wrote a long post on here about the science behind this. A line is a line no matter when it comes up (even if its after the time.) A line can and will only appear if there is HCG 👍
ICs can be very faint. I tried to make sure to use really concentrated strong wee and even then the line didn't darken until a week after my missed period. It was blazing on a FRER by then!

This makes absolutely no sense and I'm afraid I must argue that it's absolute rubbish.

I myself have been scorned with "evaporation" lines on CB tests as well as cheap supermarket own brands tests, where I categorically wasn't pregnant but there was a line there hours after I'd taken the test.

These lines weren't picking up HCG, because I wasn't pregnant. The lines from when I've actually been pregnant are completely and utterly different, and unmistakable. But the argument that "a line is a line no matter how long it takes to show up" is utter bollocks and actually giving people false hope

Definitely a line in both photos. Good luck OP

I can see lines on both photos! Best of luck x

Thanks everyone, will take another test and wait and see what happens. Hoping for the best.
