DTD every day or every other day?

Hi all,

I've been TTC since July, CP in Aug. 3rd cycle... my cycles have been weirdly long after CP Sad

Anyway... DTD every day or every other day?

Finding myself annoyingly obsessed with TTC and now I'm hating myself that we didn't do it on the 1 day post OD (appaz this is a good day too). Partner had enough by that point, lol!

Success stories would be appreciated? SmileXx

Sperm meets egg plan, look it up x

Have you tried using OPKs and charting BBT? If you can narrow down when ovulation is going to happen then you'll know when to DTD. Doing it every day or every other day, can get exhausting, especially if it takes a few cycles to conceive. Or you can just look out for EWCM but not everyone gets much.

Its exhausting isn't it! My first DS we DTD every day (except twice when we have friends over) and got pregnant the first month.
Have since been trying since August and DTD every other day, sometimes more but still no baby! Its exhausting isn't it! I've just been using clearblue ovulation trackers this month though so you wait to be told when is best to DTD, which means we still are doing it every other day but then I don't feel worried days we don't do it if I havnt got a positive ovulation test. Would recommend them to avoid stress of doing it everyday when it's not necessary!

We did it every other day generally starting early in the cycle ( as soon as period over really) and a few days after ovulation. Sometime would do two days in a row clos to ovulation.

Agree with PP, SMEP is what worked for us

Thanks for everyone's comments, I've re read my post back, sorry, meant DTD every day or every other day through the ovulation window!
Did NOT mean every day during the month, jheez hahaha!

Yeah start use OPKs about a week after period ends. Sorry, I should have said DTD everyday through fertility window not all through the month haha! Wow that would be exhausting 😆 I get the EWCM too, so can generally tell from that also. We did it 4 days straight until OD day but not the day after. Hoping for a BFP, but already stressing about itSad

Yes sorry, I didnt mean all through the month just the fertility window😆 should have wrote the post better. we did it every 2-3 days pre ovulation window and then 4 times every day up until, soon as I started getting the positive OPKs. I wanted to do it the day after too but partner had a enough by that point haha! Hoping it won't make too much difference 🤞🏻 Fingers crossed we get the BFPs soon!!! X

Thanks for your comment. I've looked at the SMEP plan, we basically did that but I didn't miss a day? Does that really matter? Not sure what the point of missing a day is, I'm scared I'll miss the egg. 🙁

Look out for cervical mucus as an indicator that you're ovulating.

Lisa78Lemon · 14/11/2020 20:52

I think theoretically missing a day can have certain advantages i.e. letting sperm regenerate but who knows...

You hear so much about people getting pregnant by mistake or from a ONS.

Best of luck, sounds like you have a good chance!!
