Blood test to confirm pregnancy

Hi all,

I just wondered if anybody knows If a blood test would pick up early pregnancy?
I believe I may have (possibly) implanted yesterday following some pains.
I'm due a blood test for other things in 2 days time. Do you think this could potentially pick up a pregnancy if I was to ask them to check for this, too?

Anybody got any experience with this?

Thank you in advance :) x

Well I had a routine blood test to check my thyroid levels and the doctors rung me the next day to say I'm pregnant (which I already knew) so they weren't even looking for it and found it xx

@Mylasmummy2102 oh amazing! That's exactly the tests I'm going on for! Xx

A thyroid test alone will not test for hcg. Have you got your bloods envelope/ form, does it state which tests have been requested?

Parkandride · 10/11/2020 14:46

It takes a few days for hcg to start secreting into your blood stream I believe

My thyroid test did pick the HCG levels up on my test no idea how but it did as the doctor ring to confirm it. Not saying they were searching for it but they found it
