@Toastedsesame I'm just cross I have had to resort to non FRERs. Nothing has changed in how im feeling at the moment so paying no attention. Will just use another boots one tomorrow morning and, in theory, it should be less of a stupid squinter :-)

SarahAnne87 · 16/11/2020 12:38

When I was pregnant with my little boy I got a really strong positive. I re tested 2 weeks later (anxious) and the line was really faint - convinced myself I had lost the baby again. That was a really cheap test.
He was fine (obviously)
Probably best to try with a better test 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Toastedsesame · 16/11/2020 13:26

@MamaMoonbeam Ofc, try not to read too much into the line.

Something crazy, I was googling implantation bleeding and when to test after it, and I found an old thread written by me under my old username! It was when we conceived my little boy so I can now see that I had implantation bleeding 5dpo-7dpo with him, which is roughly whats happened now too.

SarahAnne87 · 16/11/2020 13:40

@Toastedsesame eek that’s exciting! That must be so reassuring ❤️

CakeAndPreggers · 16/11/2020 15:13

V exciting @Toastedsesame on the lines!

I'm 8 or 9 days dpo so have been testing (too early I know) but can't help myself! have some FRERs ready and waiting.

Toastedsesame · 16/11/2020 18:37

I can understand the early tests @CakeAndPreggers we all do it! 🤣 By 9dpo you never know tho, especially with frer.

I didn't end up getting out for frers today as my little boy was being an arse (frankly) so I'm gonna hold on and do a cheapie tomorrow morning and see how that compares to today's mega squinter.

Forest27 · 16/11/2020 19:55

Hey everyone! Wow I feel like I’ve missed so much!

Congrats @MamaMoonbeam! How are you feeling?

@Toastedsesame i could see a faint line! I have my fingers crossed for you!

How is everyone doing? I’ve booked an early scan but it’s not for three weeks 😩 and I keep cramping as though AF is about to show her face 😒

MamaMoonbeam · 16/11/2020 20:00

@Forest27 thank you 😊 I'm fatigued and seem to have nausea a bit in the afternoons. Also still a bit crampy and still a bit flabbergasted that we got pregnant the first cycle we tried.

3 weeks seems like ages! 😅 how are you doing?

Forest27 · 16/11/2020 20:32

@MamaMoonbeam it’s surreal isn’t it!! I know it’s so lucky! My OH thinks he has super sperm or something because when I had my molar we only DTD once that month and now this 😂

I’m okay! Just anxious as usual and feeling soooo incredibly tired. It’ll definitely be an anxious wait until my scan. I’m trying not to get too excited until I see a baby on the screen 😩❤️ But I do keep peeking at baby stuff! I spent a long time avoiding it after my molar so it’s like a weight has lifted and I can enjoy looking again and stop avoiding my pregnant friends 🙈

mommyofone2019 · 16/11/2020 20:40

@Forest27 @MamaMoonbeam so happy for you both!

Toastedsesame · 16/11/2020 20:44

@Forest27 ah so happy for you! Haha your DH, super sperm - thats exactly what my DH said first time round. Weirdly because we conceived straight away last time I just assumed it would happen again! I'm glad you can see a line.. maybe I'm not mad! I looove looking at baby stuff, I used to work for a baby shop so I knew exactly what I wanted to buy when the time was right.

Please please keep us updated won't you!

MamaMoonbeam · 17/11/2020 06:34

@Toastedsesame so surreal! And my other half thinks he is super potent, walking around going "bam! Pregnant!" And puffing his chest out 🤦🏻‍♀️ it's hilarious.
I'm anxious and just poas, the boots own brand seeing as I have 3 more of them, and the line is more there than yesterday's but still so faded.
Im trying not to get excited too. It's not easy but MN is full of early losses and I'm v conscious that an early loss for me would really effect my head.

My sisters both had babies this year, one in july and one in October, so I can prep at baby stuff under the guise it's for them 😊

MamaMoonbeam · 17/11/2020 06:35

I doubt know why it didn't tag @Forest27 in the above too!

Toastedsesame · 17/11/2020 08:13

@MamaMoonbeam I'm never sure whether carrying on testing after a BFP is a good idea or not. I know I would find some comfort in it, but perhaps it does create unnecessary worry. I wouldn't worry about the boots tests tho, because they are crap. Your frer was a definite positive, go with that.

Here's a real test for everyone's eyes this morning. Super squinter 😂 please excuse the muck, my cat has been up on my window sill.

Pudding01 · 17/11/2020 08:27

Hey. Please can I join? First month ttc after coming off the mini pill for 2 years.

Using digital cleablue opk which shows your 2 most fertile days.

Had my peak yesterday with my smiley face. And another today! So no sure if I'm ovulating today, or yesterday or not yet. My chart app has told me my test results are odd lol

MamaMoonbeam · 17/11/2020 08:28

@Toastedsesame I'm not sure why I feel the need to keep testing... maybe to see that it's real and still there? My OH asked me last night why I was still testing. I said I would stop after this week because I would feel I wouldn't need to test after then 🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess because I'm due AF (yesterday) and still half expecting it to turn up 🙄

SarahAnne87 · 17/11/2020 10:10

I’m so excited for you all, wishing you happy and healthy pregnancies ❤️

I’m out this month, another negative test this morning (due yesterday). Don’t know what’s going on with my body, I’ve had so so many symptoms this month I was convinced it would be positive but I’ll just wait for her to arrive then try again next month!

Grumpsy · 17/11/2020 12:15

Well AF has gone for me now (only lasted 3 days - more like 2.5, with the first being very light, but day 2 was full on AF). So onwards to this month now.

Also my swabs came back with mild thrush, and group b strep. Now, I know it’s common but how have I gone from not carrying that 2 months or so ago to carrying it now 🤨 - she said it was a small amount present but still. Neither account for the bleeding.

Either way it’s put me in a bad mood, but onwards to next month I guess 😑

Toastedsesame · 17/11/2020 13:50

Oh how odd @Grumpsy have you ever had a period that short before? Seems a bit suspicious, could it be related to the strep infection?

Not to raise hopes but have you tested just to rule it out?

Grumpsy · 17/11/2020 14:00

@Toastedsesame definitely not pregnant as AF got very heavy on day 2 with quite a few clots. So I refuse to waste an frer.

The strep infection apparently causes no symptoms, and is present in about 20% of the population (mostly without them knowing) and they just leave it alone. To be honest I’m assuming I must be a carrier of it for it to have appeared out of nowhere 🙈 gp said she had no idea what’s caused the irregularity and to wait to speak to gynae 🙄

Toastedsesame · 17/11/2020 14:03

@Grumpsy Fair enough.

Its so annoying when you come away none the wiser. Will gynae take a while?

I've just ordered a twin pack of Frer. I'm concerned I'm just convincing myself I can see lines now Confused I'll take the frer as gospel.

Grumpsy · 17/11/2020 14:19

@Toastedsesame if I get an overly positive opk in when I start testing again I’ll open a frer. Other than that I’ll assume it was just an odd cycle. My periods aren’t usually that short, I’ve had the odd 3 day cycle but they’ve been full on and really heavy all 3 days. Usually they’re 4-5 days. Having said that I had a lot of bleeding in my lp last month so maybe that’s why.

Fingers crossed for you, hoping you get your bfp when they arrive and you can test!

Grumpsy · 17/11/2020 14:20

@Toastedsesame gynae is mid December- so not too long thankfully.

Toastedsesame · 17/11/2020 14:24

@Grumpsy Ah ofc, that would make sense - maybe you'd already lost a lot of the lining etc with the bleeding. I'm jealous of yr short AF's tho, mine are around 6 days long.

Keep us updated won't you!

Grumpsy · 17/11/2020 14:30

@Toastedsesame mine a usually really heavy for days 1&2 (sometimes day 3 too) - so I think I just shed the whole lining all at once. 🙈🙈 To be fair my mums were only ever 3days long so it may be genetic.

I will do, but I’ll get really grumpy if gynae say it’s stress!
