okay this is a long one im sorry but stay with me.

so the 17th september with fmu i had negative pregnancy tests i continued to test on the 18th which was 11dpo and got the most positive tests ive ever recieved. i am a poas addict so i continued to test throughout the day and the tests got lighter and lighter by the next morning they were completely negative i started bleeding 3 days later for a few days and thought that was a miscarriage and left it but since then i have had multiple pregnancy symptoms pop up throughout the last 6 weeks. its been nearly 6 weeks and still no period or even a sign of it. i have been pregnant with twins before so i was thinking that because my tests were negative days before i had any bleeding that maybe the tests were overwhelmed creating the hook effect, i know it would have been early but the tests went from negative to saying 3+ weeks overnight. i guess im trying to give myself some hope.

Getting a false-negative pregnancy test because of the hook effect is very rare.

If you think you are pregnant you should go and get a blood test to know for sure.

If you think your tests are genuinely negative due to the hook effect, try diluting your urine sample by quite a lot and you should then be able to pick up a positive!
I agree with pp though, I’d probably try and get bloods drawn 48 hours apart to check fir hcg rising/falling, or if your levels are even above the pregnant baseline.

Good luck.
