Anyone struggled to conceive second baby?

With ex partner conceived DD within 3 months of trying. Year later we decided on another and spent 2.5 years trying and no baby, we split up after that (I really did think we would of lasted but he suddenly switched like a light switch and was unrecognisable to the man I got with). Now with dp of 2 years, trying for a baby for the past 12 months - no baby yet! On my period now. Has anyone really struggled to conceive their second child? Could my first pregnancy resulted in infertility some how?

Did you have any tests done when you were trying with previous partner? I'm on cycle 7 ttc baby 2 but it took us 13 cycles 1st time so i'm not worrying quite yet

Yes, pregnant with first on 1 cycle the second took 10 cycles.

I haven't had any tests with doctors to see if anything is wrong, I'm sort of in denial about anything being wrong because I have my daughter, I hope I'm just being a bit unlucky with trying.

We had similar. First one was immediate, second one took 18 months+.

With number 2, we had just approached the gp for help and suddenly got pregnant. I think stress (work / home stuff) was the blocker for me. And then a combo of - acupuncture, the relief of a supportive chat with gp, and a holiday - all worked it’s magic.

Fell pregnant with DS1 first month of trying and took 11 months to conceive DS2. I tried various things throughout the months but a couple of things that changed just before I fell pregnant was weight loss (I wasn't hugely overweight but went back to my pre DS1 weight) and also didn't track anything like I had in other months. Not sure if the weight loss or more relaxed approach had any bearing or pure luck.
