Opk during 2ww anyone had negative opks but bfp later on?

Hi everyone, I am new on here, and if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I am going crazy!

I use opks to track ovulation as well as temperature and Cm. I believe I ovulated 16/10/20 and I’m in the 2ww at the mo.

Since ovulation I have had cramps and pulling pains, backache, big boobs that tend to be erect and been knackered.

I got pregnant in May this year but lost it beginning of September due to a bad kidney infection that went undiagnosed for too long.

Obviously eager to get pregnant as soon as possible and I guess I am pinning my grieving on getting pregnant again. I have really struggled to cone to terms with it.

My question is, when I got pregnant in May I used opks to track the hcg going up before I could test. I use premom where it scans the tests and gives a reading and puts it on a graph. I tried the same this month and it started to go up and then now went down. I’m dpo9.

Has anyone ever had opk readings that are low or negative but still had a positive in the end? I think online it states that it can pick up hcg but also it’s not uncommon to have a negative opk but then be pregnant, which makes no sense to me!

Any help would be appreciated!

@Puppylove10 I've seen people say both!! That they had a positive and then a bfp and also seen people say they had blank opks before their bfp!!! I've tested opks today I'm 13dpo and they have been really positive! X

They look really positive, fingers crossed for you!

I just don’t understand how it could be either or both. Surely if it picks up hcg then it should pick it up every time? How could someone get a negative opk then a positive pregnancy test? I guess unless the opk was done before the hcg started being made?

How long have you been trying? Do you have any kids already?

@Puppylove10 I think it picks it up when a test would be positive? So only when hcg is high enough? I'm still getting positive opks this morn..... I've got backache though so think Af is coming.... I have once before had positive opks the day before AF Arrives. But I don't normally get it!

Yeah I have one daughter she's 13 now! I've been ttc since august 18 I fell pregnant straight away last year but MC a year ago this week :( how about you? Xx

Well I duno because last time mine showed low levels and showed it growing until I could test (not sure how to load a picture to show you). So I don’t get why it doesn’t always pick it up. Anyway won’t depend on them anymore!

You won’t test with a pregnancy test? I’m sorry to hear that. This week must be tough for you.
