Evaporation line or faint positive??

Mylasmummy2102 · 25/10/2020 06:53

So all I keep reading about is evaporation lines and it's for me really anxious because on my tests I have had faint pink lines they haven't shown up straight away the quickest was 2-3 minutes some 5 minutes to show!

It's driving me crazy I was due on yesterday and had horrible period pains but no bleeding I have had more symptoms such has back ache nausea and bloating but I don't want to get my hopes up because of evaporation lines I read a thread that if it's a evaporation line they won't go (pink or blue) and will be more grey but because if the time they have taken to go pink I'm really confused and driving myself absolutely crazy! 🙈

Any one else had this?? I will be getting a more reliable test as I don't think these are the best

Evaporation line or faint positive??

They look like quite strong positives to me.

Mylasmummy2102 · 25/10/2020 07:09

Really? I really want to get excited but I just wish the lines came up quicker then I would feel relief if you know what I mean x

They look positive to me. The ICs always take longer to go really dark.

Mylasmummy2102 · 25/10/2020 07:11

I'm going to get a better test today hopefully as it's driving me crazy 😜

They definitely look positive to me. You could always buy a digital to confirm.

Mylasmummy2102 · 25/10/2020 07:14

@Flossie7 yes I will do 😊

I'm convinced they are evaporation lines so I will safely say I'm out this month just have to keep trying

Those are not evaporation lines. Congratulations!

Waiting4another · 25/10/2020 10:20

Have you had any stark white tests in between the positives? You wouldn’t get 4 evaporation lines in a row...

Mylasmummy2102 · 25/10/2020 10:21

No all have shown a pink line but some after the 10 mins

OP posts:
Mooey89 · 25/10/2020 10:23

Those are not evap lines. You are 100.% pregnant. Congratulations!

Bowsie15 · 25/10/2020 10:24

I completely understand not wanting to get your hopes up, but you're asking for opinions (I saw your other thread too) and not accepting the ones that say they see positive lines. You seem to have convinced yourself already they are evaporation lines even though they came up in the time frame? Please get yourself a better test because you might be pleasantly surprised!

Waiting4another · 25/10/2020 10:24

Ok, you are definitely pregnant...
Congratulations again!
Any line within the 10 minute mark counts

Mylasmummy2102 · 25/10/2020 10:26

@Bowsie15 yeah I'm convinced they are evaporation lines because they didn't come up straight away and some are fainter than others only a couple of them came up in the 2-5 mins mark. It's very confusing. I want to get another test but my anxiety for the disappointment of it being a negative is really bad. I'm not dismissing people's comments I just have it in my head

OP posts:
Waiting4another · 25/10/2020 10:26

Also horrible period pains were my first sign of pregnancy.
Take folate, don’t drink or smoke, look up pregnancy foods, don’t take anything other than paracetamol for your ‘period pain’

Waiting4another · 25/10/2020 10:28

I should add that I personally failed on most of those fronts because I ‘knew’ it was my period coming, DS is fine...

Bowsie15 · 25/10/2020 10:32

@Mylasmummy2102 I get that. A negative test is the most disappointing thing. But as someone who has never had even a cheapy test look like yours, I would be getting a digital or better test ASAP. It's nice to live in hope but not at the expense of torturing yourself and driving yourself crazy. Chances with those lines and the fact you're already late is that you might get happiness and excitement instead. Which is all any of us want for each other :)

Mylasmummy2102 · 25/10/2020 10:36

@Waiting4another I have been taking pregnacare I don't smoke or drink. I've had to children ages 11 and 5

Waiting4another · 25/10/2020 10:50

Looks like you will have another 6 year gap then!

Sexnotgender · 25/10/2020 10:51

Absolutely not evaps. They’re strong positive results especially for ICs.

Congratulations Flowers

Did you take them all with the same wee? If not, they won’t be the same strength line because the wee will be different concentrations.

Mylasmummy2102 · 25/10/2020 11:09

Not all from the same wee sample

OP posts:
GanderousGoose · 25/10/2020 11:24

OP. These are NOT evap lines. Until I was quite a few days after missed period, lines on these ICs would take a bit of time to appear and would definitely strengthen over time as well. These aren't evaps.

Mylasmummy2102 · 25/10/2020 12:35

Sorry if I doubted anyway!! Got a test just done it it came up straight away!!
