I'm 7dpo today and would love to speak with others also in their TWW as I'm finding it really hard to fight the urge to test, so a distraction would be nice haha. I'm on my 4th cycle TTC my first. This is the first cycle where I've had hardly any symptoms. By this time I usually have really sore and achey boobs, but I've not had it at all!

Hey also 7dpo (I think). Have you been using OPKs? I haven't but had ovulation pains last Sunday followed by EWCM so convinced I ovulated.
I'm TTC #2, not really sure what cycle I'd call it as we haven't used contraception since our son was born last September as I was breastfeeding which is about 97% effective as contraception. My cycles have been all over the place so it's been a bit of a nightmare trying to track things.
When I was pregnant with my son, the only symptom I had was a metallic taste in my mouth on a few occasions so don't worry about the symptoms especially at 7dpo.
When are you planning on testing? Definitely need some moral support to stop me wasting tests!

Nam095 · 18/10/2020 19:31

@Saddlethehorseimdone Hey 😊 ah those are some good ovulation signs! I track ovulation with OPKs and bbt, this cycle I had 3 straight days of peaks so was a bit confusing! You know I had no idea breastfeeding did that to women’s cycles until I read other threads on here, how amazing 😂 I’ve been off my pill for a few months now and my first 2 cycles were so different, first was 42 days then the next was 25, third was 27 so it’s looking like my body is starting to go back to normal now! I actually had the metallic taste last cycle but obviously didn’t mean anything for me, my body likes to trick me too much. Past tww’s I’ve symptom spotted like crazy but I’ve been a lot more relaxed this month so maybe that’s why I’m not noticing ‘symptoms’. I’m hoping I can hold out testing till 22nd when I’ll be 11dpo but I seriously doubt I’ll have the willpower to wait that long haha, when are you wanting to test?

OP posts:
cka123 · 18/10/2020 19:59

Hi!, I've been reviewing many threads before finally taking the plunge and joining :).

I'm currently 9/10 dpo and going crazy waiting to take the test. AF should be starting Friday so have a few days to wait before I can take another test. I took one last week(got bfn) - 6 dpo because I was getting restless and started feeling some symptoms which I've never felt before AF.

My story - I got accidentally got pregnant in June and got a bfp 1 week after my missed period. I was super nervous as a few weeks before I had been drinking occasionally but the doctor said if the alcohol didn't abort the baby, I'm fine. Fast forward to August - I was just about to complete my first trimester and had a miscarriage.

I'm now ttc after receiving the all clear from doctor. Because I didn't realize I was pregnant before, I didn't notice any symptoms. Now I'm hyper aware and feel like I'm reading into everything.

My current symptoms - I feel some twinges and slight cramping - which I never felt before my period. Cramps usually have been more severe only during day 1 and 2 of my period.

About 2 weeks of every cycle, my breasts are usually sore. Now, nothing.

And all of a sudden, I'm having nasal congestion & crazy sneezing from the past 4 days as thought I'm about to get a cold but no other cold symptoms such as fever or sore throat.

Waiting till even Tuesday to take an early detection test is hard.

How you passing the time?

Saddlethehorseimdone · 18/10/2020 20:13

@Nam095 Yep it's a pain, we wanted an 18 month gap between children, it's looking like it'll be 2+ years so not the end of the world. Wanted to go back to work pregnant!
I definitely had less symptoms the month I was pregnant ha so must have all been in my head. It's so easy to convince yourself.
I really want to hold off until Wednesday for testing and try a frer. I'm terrible for testing ridiculously early so need to sit on my hands! I've got some ICs so may just use those until Wednesday as don't mind wasting them. What tests have you been using?
Any idea if your hospital are allowing partners at scans yet? Think mine are only allowing them to the 20 week scan which is a shame.
@cka123 I am so, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. That must have been so hard for you. I know what you mean about taking the plunge and replying to a thread. I've heard a lot of people saying they got a cold in their tww as their first symptom so fingers crossed for you.

Nam095 · 18/10/2020 20:48

@cka123 oh I’m so sorry you had to go through that 😞 that must have been so hard. I know what you mean though about being hyper aware, I feel like as soon as I start the TWW I notice everything happening to my body. I’ve also been sneezing a lot past couple of days! I hope it means good news for us. I have my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼Exactly it’s such a struggle to keep waiting haha, I feel that once I go for my first morning wee then I can’t test for the rest of the day so that’s how I manage to hold out testing each day. I’m also wfh full time at the moment in a fairly full on job so Mon-Fri I don’t really pay attention to my symptoms as I literally don’t have the spare time to! The days in the TWW do seem to drag on though. I really hope you get another BFP this month 🥰

@Saddlethehorseimdone yes same haha I have ICs as well and I tend to use them every other day up to 10dpo to fulfil my poas addiction lol and then I switch to FRER on 10dpo. I’m not sure if they’re allowing partners at the moment I had checked about a month ago but it wasn’t very clear, I think it was just at the birth in my trust area!

cka123 · 19/10/2020 18:58

Thank you @Saddlethehorseimdoneand @Nam095

Crossing fingers for you both to get bfp!

Saddlethehorseimdone · 19/10/2020 20:09

@cka123 are you going to be testing in the morning? Everything crossed for you. I'd like to say I've managed to take my mind off testing but it's been impossible. You definitely need to keep busy!
@Nam095 still no symptoms? I keep thinking I'm having little cramps but I'm probably imagining them along with other things. The tww drives you mad.

Nam095 · 19/10/2020 20:21

@Saddlethehorseimdone not many symptoms again today! Other than a crippling headache from 4pm but I think that was just from my work lol. My boobs are usually unbearably sore at this point! I’ve been having AF cramps on and off all day but I’m used them to at this time in my cycle so I’m thinking nothing of it. I really have the urge to test tomorrow but I know it’ll be BFN, it’s the ‘what if’ that’s making me want to. Like what if I’m one of the lucky ones that get a BFP early on, but I doubt it Sad I think I’ll cave and test on Wednesday at 10dpo

OP posts:
cka123 · 19/10/2020 21:25

I gave in this morning and tested - got a bfn.

I'm thinking it might be best to wait till Friday when af is due before testing again. But not sure if I can actually wait that long.

Saddlethehorseimdone · 20/10/2020 07:31

@cka123 sorry to hear that but doesn't mean you're out yet, you sometimes don't implant until 12dpo. With my son I got a squinter the night before my period due but couldn't get the line to show up on a photo, and the day my period was due it was only just visible on the photo as I needed to send my husband it as he was away at the time. They were both with frers which are pretty much the most sensitive tests. I still don't know why I test early when that happened previously although I have medication I need to start as soon as I get my BFP so I'm trying to convince myself that's why I need to know early but I'm just inpatient Grin
@Nam095 I've done a few ICs and they are BFN will try a frer tomorrow just in case as I won't last until the weekend and would rather know early if it's looking like a negative for the month. Fingers are crossed for you.
I keep reminding myself, the longer it takes to happen, the more normal things will be when we have babies. Honestly feel like I was robbed of half my lovely maternity leave with lockdown. There still aren't many baby groups open in my area and rule of six means I can only meet up with two other mums and their babies at once. I also had an induction last time and wasn't moved to delivery until after I'd been having strong contractions for about 12 hours and 6cm, would have to do that on my own with current restrictions. Just looking for silver linings when it doesn't happen as quickly as I'd like.

Nam095 · 20/10/2020 11:46

@Saddlethehorseimdone hey how did you get on this morning? I did an IC this morning and got the faintest line ever, it’s much more noticeable in person though. I’m not going to trust it yet though. Will be trying a FRER in a couple days.

Oh that sounds like a horrible experience 😓 I’m hoping that by the time I’ll be giving birth it’ll be summer 2021 the earliest so restrictions might have eased up by then

Halfway through TWW, anyone want to join me?
OP posts:
Saddlethehorseimdone · 20/10/2020 12:18

@Nam095 oh my gosh, definitely see a faint line! Hopefully you have a nice strong line on a frer tomorrow. Will you tell your OH or wait until tomorrow?

Nam095 · 20/10/2020 13:03

@Saddlethehorseimdone well he’s wfh as well today so I showed him straight away 😂 he said he couldn’t see anything though so hopefully I get a BFP tomorrow on the FRER

OP posts:
Nam095 · 20/10/2020 14:43

@Saddlethehorseimdone I just caved and took a FRER, I can’t believe it!! I hope it sticks I don’t even know how to react!

Halfway through TWW, anyone want to join me?
OP posts:
Saddlethehorseimdone · 20/10/2020 16:19

@Nam095 OMG that's amazing!!! What did your partner say to that?! No denying it! How far along does that make you? How exciting and such a strong line. Huge congratulations!

cka123 · 20/10/2020 17:07

OMG! This is amazing!! Congratulations @Saddlethehorseimdone & @Nam095!!

Hope tomorrow the lines are much darker!

Saddlethehorseimdone · 20/10/2020 17:11

@cka123 not me yet, testing tomorrow but not feeling so hopeful this month. When are you going to retest?

cka123 · 20/10/2020 18:14

Ah, my bad. I just realized that it was a message to you and not FROM you Smile

I'll test on Friday when AF is due. But I also ordered some cheap test on amazon that should be delivered tomorrow, so highly likely I'll cave and test before Friday.

I'm reading more threads of folks trying different methods, it's crazy what we have to go through to get pregnant considering our population has exploded over the past few decades.

Nam095 · 20/10/2020 18:14

@Saddlethehorseimdone @cka123 thank you both so much! I honestly thought I was out this month as I had no symptoms! According to my app I’m 3+2. I must have implanted really early for the line to be that clear and with regular diluted urine!

I have everything crossed for you both 🤞🏼❤️

OP posts:
Saddlethehorseimdone · 20/10/2020 20:28

@cka123 yup and when you're at school, you're told if you don't use protection, you will definitely get pregnant! Let me know how it goes Friday.
@Nam095 wow that is really early for such a strong positive! Wishing you an uneventful nine months. Hopefully will be in the same position in the next couple of months.

Nam095 · 21/10/2020 13:49

@Saddlethehorseimdone thank you🥰

Wishing you and @cka123 the best of luck and loads of baby dust ❤️

Im out this cycle, af arrived exactly on time. On to next cycle!

Happythoughts91 · 23/10/2020 19:31

Hi girls, hope you don’t mind me joining in with you. I’ve only just joined on the past hour or so, as for the past few weeks I’ve just been reading but today decided to join in.

I’m currently in my twenties and 7 dpo (I think) We’re TTC #1 and this is our first cycle. This is also my first month off the pill, so i know it’s not going to happen this quickly. But I’m symptom spotting and it’s driving me mad.

I got the Ovia app and out in my withdrawal bleed and it calculated my cycle (obviously presuming it was 28 days) and it got it pretty right I would say. I used the clear blue OPK (I think I’m using the right term there!) and last Friday it was peak. We DTD every day during that week, you can tell we was eager being the first month. Lol.

Anyway I look forward fo going on this journey together and fingers crossed all of us don’t have to wait long Smile

cka123 · 24/10/2020 19:01

Welcome @Happythoughts91!

Crossing fingers you get a bfp soon!

cka123 · 07/11/2020 20:05

Hey all, just checking in how everyone is doing now. Any update @Happythoughts91 and @Saddlethehorseimdone?
