2 days late, no usual spotting

It’s been over a year TTC had my first consultation with the hospital this week and they asked me to phone back when my period arrived the next day so they could get me booked in for bloods and have the timing right, but it never turned up and then I realised I haven’t had the spotting I usually get 2-4 days before it. I am getting cramps like it’s going to show up, I usually have a 27/28 day cycle, a year ago I had two in a row that was 30 and 31. I know it might sound crazy but I don’t want to test, I hear of too many chemical pregnancies so would just like to wait a few more days. My question is I suppose has anyone got a bfp and felt cramping like af is about to appear. Maybe the hospital appointment gave my body a fright in the right direction or maybe af is about to show up late lol

I did! With my first, I had a real grump one day because I thought we were out for the month. Turns out, a few days later I got my BFP (got the cramps right around the time I was due, too.)

You won’t know unless you test 🙂

I'm currently in the exact same position. Usually 28/29 day cycles. Currently on day 31 but have had usual af cramps for about a week now. I also dont want to test as I don't like the disappointment of a BFN

I know the only way to know for sure is test. I have tested through my TTC journey because I don’t like the disappointment of a bfn and also if it was a bfp then turned out to be a CP a few days later I’d be devastated so in a way I’d rather not know until it’s stuck. Writing that I know myself it sounds crazy but I’m just scared.
