Can I have no symptoms during TWW and still be pregnant?

Title says it all really. Currently 4dpo and of course not feeling much!

Trying not to go crazy during my TWW and not write myself off as not being pregnant if I don’t get any symptoms in the next 10 days

So did anyone here have a BFP after their TWW but not really any symptoms during?Smile

@chickendipper99 im 4dpo too and keen to hear the answer. I have certainly heard some ladies say they had no symptoms when they got their bfp but im not sure how common it is 🤷‍♀️

Hi. I didn't have any symptoms until about a week after my positive. Thought I was out. Got my positive 11 DPO x

Starlight39 · 17/10/2020 10:29

Yes, I haven’t really had symptoms during the tww with any of my pregnancies! After the tww, I felt a bit more tired and hungry but nothing like the symptoms I see on here sonetimes. Symptoms kicked in more around 6 weeks.

ChickenDipper99 · 17/10/2020 10:45

@Whilstwewait thank you! I’m trying not to symptom spot during TWW but part of me thought what if you don’t have any symptoms so worry kicked in!

Quite reassuring to see so I can continue the next 10 days and just see what happens when I test

@Starlight39 yes I’d read some threads and people on their TWW stated they felt sick, tired, sore boobs the lot!

I thought surely it’s a bit early for the symptoms? But again this is my first cycle trying for my first baby so wouldn’t know

Thank you for the reassurance Smile

I had no symptoms in the 2ww or for a few weeks after my positive

Waiting4another · 17/10/2020 10:58

Yep, I had absolutely no symptoms during the TWW, they came thick and fast the week after though!

ChickenDipper99 · 17/10/2020 11:25

This is making me feel a loooot better thank you ladies!

Just as I didn’t want to spend my first TWW being negative because I didn’t have symptoms when there’s a chance I could be pregnant!

Depends. I know lots of people say they didn't have any symptoms but then I've been pregnant 8 times and have started to feel nauseous during the TWW. I think it depends on your personal sensitivity to rising hormones.

homeiswhereyoullfindme · 17/10/2020 19:44

If it helps ladies I've had 0 symptoms with both of my pregnancies apart from first and last trimester tiredness and foot/ankle swelling at the end. Of course I did the whole symptom spotting though when I was TTC it's too hard not to! But having little to no symptoms or disappearing symptoms doesn't always mean bad news :)

ivfbeenbusy · 17/10/2020 19:47

I had zero symptoms and turned out I was pregnant with twins

I'm now 21 weeks and other than a massive bump and feeling kicks I've had zero symptoms - no nausea no sickness no sore boobs nothing

FxBB2020 · 17/10/2020 19:47

I had no symptoms for the first 10 days or so...then got what I thought was period cramps-tested positive the following day. No symptoms definitely doesnt rule you out! Classic pregnancy symptoms didnt kick in until I was almost 6 weeks!

eloiseislost · 17/10/2020 20:33

If you think about it, after ovulation and before AF the hormone progesterone is high. And guess what progesterone causes? Sore boobs, nausea, tiredness, mood swings, oily skin, raised temperature- otherwise known as PMS. True pregnancy symptoms start once the hcg hormone is high enough in your body to cause those symptoms. And by then, a woman would get a definite BFP. So anything before that, it's mostly wishful thinking -I know because I've been there!

PoprocksAndCoke · 17/10/2020 23:40

I never had any symptoms before period was late with any of my 3 pregnancies. Heartburn kicked in about 6 weeks and nausea at about 8 weeks.

When you are deliberately ttc you pay attention in the 2ww to symptoms you usually have before period is due. Pre period symptoms are very similar to pregnancy symptoms. 2bh if you have enough hormones to cause symptoms you will have enough hormones to get a positive test

Hi, I didn’t have anything in tww. I only took a test as I needed to ring my fertility clinic about some blood test results so I thought ‘better take a test so I can tell them whether or not this round has failed’. Shock of my life when it was positive. I’m now 18 weeks ❤️. I saw you mention that this is your first tww. I know how amazingly exciting ttc is but please try not to drive yourself crazy over this as it will become exhausting. Also, don’t bother with early tests as you could be setting yourself up for heartache. Just stick out the two weeks and then test at the end when you’re more likely to get an accurate result. Good luck and crossing all my fingers for a bfp for you ❤️.
