FRER indent line ?

Hi

Just after some advice..

I have just taken a FRER early response I think I am 8DPO.. I am not trying to conceive and wrote a previous post this month about taking the MAP.. the sex happaned 8 days ago.

I have taken apart the FRER and it doesn’t show in a picture but if I look at it from certain angles there is 100 percent a colourless line there.. I don’t know if this is an ident line or the start of a positive??

Like I said there is no colour and I can’t take a picture as it doesn’t show up.

Btw I know testing not even two weeks after sex is to early but I’m really anxious about this.

Has anyone experienced it ?

It may just be that it's too early DPO for an obvious line. You won't be certain for another week or so.

But I guarantee if you posted that same pic on the TTC boards or if you were hopeful to be pregnant then the answers would be a lot different e.g "that looks really promising OP" and "I can definitely see a line".
I mean there's a line there, I can see it. And evaps aren't a thing. Chemical pregnancies are.

Just best to be informed so you don't blindly think you're not pregnant and then later on down the line turns out you are. When is your period due?

Whatever the outcome I wish you good luck.

I thinknits just the indent line on the test, I'd say it's a bfn xx

Roselilly300 · 06/10/2020 16:31

@zippityzip tbh I know what you are saying.. I have seen pics of tests from ppl TTC with a line much less visible than my one and ppl have commented saying it looks positive.. just after honest opinions really.

I have had a chemical pregnancy before years ago

My period is due next week but my cycles can range anywhere from 32-42 days and as I took the MAP I have no idea when it’s gna come this month had some cramps today thought was coming .. and nothing.

Usually get sore boobs before period very noticeable. Had them other day for a few days now completely normal Confused

Has anyone ever heard of a pregnancy test that shows up 12 hours after sex?!? As a doctor has just told me apparently the clear blue ones do and I’m thinking what the fuk ? I had a call as I have a urine infection and he mentioned a possibility of me being pregnant.. told him there was but was a bit early to test

To which he said the clear blue early ones show 12 hours yes HOURs not days after conception.. I have no idea how a doctor can say such rubbish !!

Well that's utter rubbish as the hormones can't kick in until after implantation. Which can be 8-9 days after sex. And even then it's probably too early to tell.

He's insane. And should not be a GP.

zippityzip · 07/10/2020 10:01

Your best bet is to wait a few days and then test again with FMU with a FRER. Then you should have an idea of what's going on.

There are plenty of antibiotics that are safe during pregnancy as I had numerous UTIs whilst pregnant. GP can prescribe one that is safe and in any event you can still decide either way what you want to do.

I know you said that things weren't great with your partner but I hope you're getting IRL support too as this is going to be stressful and a bit of a headfuck until you know for sure.

@zippityzip I know he even said we don’t do pregnancy tests in surgery anymore as the clear blue ones show so soon we tell our patients to buy themConfused. Didn’t even question it as I know that is completly not true.

And yes my friend knows and is supporting me x

Okay so 1. Your doctor is full of nonsense. That's literally impossible. About 9 dpo is earliest can test positive

  1. It looks like the indent to me, not a positive

I'd recommend you use another FRER at 12dpo, which should give you a straight answer (assuming your period doesnt arrive first)

TheDaydreamBelievers · 08/10/2020 07:15

Ps - he is correct they dont do pregnancy tests in GPs now as the over the counter tests are so good, but not that early!

zippityzip · 08/10/2020 07:34

@Roselilly300 Did AF arrive?!

PP is right I would try at 12DPO - although how you've held out this long I don't know. I would be peeing on sticks every day.

Roselilly300 · 08/10/2020 09:43

@zippityzip arrived this morning in full flow so guess was a indent after all
