Hey 👋

I am wondering if anyone has ever actually experienced proper period pains, you no the kind just before af arrives, and then a bfp? I have heard it is possible but not sure if it is true? every month the cramps start and I try to convince myself I could be pregnant (not out till af shows) but I think I might just be being daft?

Yes. I had all my pre-menstrual symptoms the month I got my bfp. It was the month I turned 40 and we'd agreed that we'd stop trying for a second child at that point so you can imagine how gutted I was.

Cramps, acne - all that good stuff. I didn't even test until I was 3 days late because I didn't want what I already knew confirmed.

But ds2 is at school now.

The only thing that can tell you that you're pregnant or not is a pregnancy test or the actual arrival of your period ime. With everything else there's infinite variation from month to month, or woman to woman.

Yes, I had full proper AF cramps and exhaustion as my only symptoms before a BFP. I was so sure they were period cramps I drank alcohol and took naproxen - then had the guilts big time when I found out I was pregnant...
