Experience of getting pregnant straight after the pill

Hi everyone
My boyfriend and I are really wanting to try for a baby, I had been on the pill for 5 years and just had my withdrawal bleed, what’s everyone’s experience with coming off the pill and being pregnant right away?

It happened for me, didn't have any withdrawal bleed or period at all... took 6 weeks from my last pill taken to BFP! Had been on my pill 6 years and already had a surprise baby who is now 3... Good luck OP x

I have 3 children and got pregnant straight away each time after the withdraw bleed.

I was under 30 though not sure if that makes a difference. I'm 40 now and would like one more I'm not on contraception but not actively trying and nothings happened so far different partner also.

Hello, I've had two different experiences. My first LO took ten months after coming off the pill to conceive and my second was immediately (without a bleed) after coming off the pill. It can take your body a while to settle but if you've had a withdrawal bleed that's a good sign. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

How did you know you were because I don’t really know when my next period is, I have a tracking app but not sure if that would be exact so I’m hoping to get symptoms maybe

You could try taking opks to see if you are ovulating or use your withdrawal bleed as your 'first period' and track your cycle from there (if that makes sense) x

Wait four weeks and then test on the same day weekly until either next bleed or positive result.

@Lavinder I’m on my first cycle TTC. Finished my withdrawal bleed at the start of the week and began TTC straight away. Like you I have no idea if my cycles will return to normal or not, my predicted AF should be around 23rd so I guess I’ll test around then if it doesn’t come

I came off the mini pill on 24th Aug which I had been on for 5 months after being on the depo injection for many years. Still not had a withdrawal bleed or a period yet. I’m tracking my bbt. Just trying to fit in as much DTD as possible just in case I do ovulate. Been taking folic acid, vit D around 2 months.

Came off Rigevidon in March after 12 years (age 31)

Withdrawal bleed
141 day cycle with no ovulation detected
Period
33 days into next cycle - ovulation detected
49 days in - tested positive

Sp 6 months but only 2 cycles

Currently 6 wks pregnant

caught In July, came off the pill in April, I had 29/28 days cycles straight away
