Squinter of a line...? Or an evap..

Morning all,

11 DPO today, and had the night from hell! So nauseous and waking up at random times in the night..

Had another very vivid dream last night 😂 so decided to test..

I used a clear blue early detection, and this VERRRYY faint line came up within the time window.

Can't decide if it's a faint positive or perhaps an evap line. Still don't want to get my hopes up 😣

Can anybody help? I've attached two pics below :)

I can see a very very faint line but I'm not sure it has colour. It happened to me last month with this exact test, took a frer the next day and it was stark white. Fingers and toes crossed this doesn't happen to you!!

waitingforbabynumber1 · 29/09/2020 06:19

@eloiseislost thank you - yes I agree I'm not sure it does either.
So frustrating!

I've tried a FRER just now, and stark white. Getting so fed up of tests! 😳😟 x

I know the feeling… To add salt to the wound, AF arrived 4 days early this month, the first month of TTC! I was raging!!

I would hold off testing for a couple of days and then do another frer. Baby dust to you! 🧚🏼‍♀️💕

PurBal · 29/09/2020 08:01

I can see something but I would test again. I had 2 really bad nights of nausea but last night, the 3rd night, was ok. Woke up to some cramping and despite promising myself I would test I decided against it. My temperature has dropped too. I think I'm out but I'm just going to enjoy the next couple of days. If AF doesn't arrive on Thurday as I suspect then will test on Friday.

@eloiseislost

Thank you! I'm due AF in 3 days now so hoping I've still got a chance! Xx

@PurBal thank you, I'll try again later today or maybe tomorrow, keeping my fingers crossed! X

Here's the test inverted, don't know if it's any clearer?

I think evap lines are total bollocks. A line is a line and I see one!

waitingforbabynumber1 · 29/09/2020 12:57

@LyingDogsLie1 thank you, I am really hopeful! 💓🥳
It's always hard to know isn't it 🥺

I would have said BFP but there has been loads of threads lately with clearblue tests that ended up being BFN so I'm more sceptical these days x

waitingforbabynumber1 · 29/09/2020 16:30

@ivfbeenbusy
Thank you - yes I wonder if it's just a nasty negative! 😣😣☹️

Does anybody know - if I took the picture 5 mins after taking the test, is it even possible to be an evaporation line? X

Clear Blue seem to be causing problems. Most people seem to have more luck with the cheap ones from Poundland, etc. Even FRER have had a few false positives lately. Try getting some cheapy ones. I used the strips from Poundland, got 3 positives, went and bought a POAS one from Asda and it was a dye stealer. I've just had my scan today and I'm 14 weeks. Whereas back in June, I tried with the Clear Blue and they came up positive and I wasn't.

Hi I took a clear blue cross test and mine came up like that in the time frame window too (I’ll attach a link below that has my photo on it) still waiting for my AF now but having a lot of pregnancy symptoms, also I was told by the health care team a week and a bit before my AF that there was a faint line of the test they did for me so I’m holding out hope, I hope this helps as I’m in the same boat as you!! Keeping everything crossed for you x

@Macbookbaby oh amazing thank you for showing me yours! They look super similar! Got my fingers crossed. AF due Friday xx

Taken a FRER and it's negative! What's going on 😣😳😟

OP posts:
eloiseislost · 29/09/2020 19:26

I'm sorry to hear that @waitingforbabynumber1 Sad Only two things are possible: 1. You are pregnant but it's too early to test or 2. You are not pregnant and the CB gave you an evaporation line. It sucks not knowing, it really really does, I feel your pain. The best thing to do is to wait for AF and if she doesn't show up for a couple of days, then test.

waitingforbabynumber1 · 29/09/2020 19:32

@eloiseislost thank you - yes it's such a crappy time! I do feel pregnant.. I know it sounds silly but I just do!

Will wait for AF now. I'd expect better than an evap from clear blue! 😳😖 xx

OP posts:
eloiseislost · 29/09/2020 19:37

@waitingforbabynumber1 I had an evap on a CB last month, it's so heartbreaking! Got my hopes up and then the frer put me in my place. I truly wish you are indeed pregnant, but remember even if you are bot, there is always next cycle! Wink

waitingforbabynumber1 · 29/09/2020 20:05

@eloiseislost it's annoying isn't it! Got my fingers crossed but not feeling overly hopeful. XX

OP posts:
Macbookbaby · 29/09/2020 22:02

@waitingforbabynumber1 mine is the exact same, I got told I was pregnant by the health care team took a clear blue a couple of days later and it’s come up with pretty much identical results as yours then took a strip test and a cheapie and it’s come up negative, loads of people are having the same problem and it’s apparently because clear blue are more accurate and sensitive then strip tests and cheapies xx
