TTC after pill need reassurance! Thin lining, low progesterone, anyone else??

Been ttc for 6 months now which I know isn’t a lot but I’m in need of reassurance. Been on BC 13 years, dianette recently before that mirena coil. Since stopping the pill I’ve had quite regular cycles I get LH surge and chart temps look like I’m ovulating but my periods are so light and short (basically just spotting) and I get loads of luteal phase spotting too from about 7dpo. Was worried something else going on so had a scan and she said on day 21 my lining was only 2mm!! Far too thin for implantation. My progesterone bloods came back at 19nmol so pretty low. Ive conceived before but it was my first marriage when I was very young. I’m 36 now so starting to worry something else is going on. Hoping it’s not early menopause! Currently waiting on day 3 bloods results. Anyone have any similar experiences to share? Is it just my body settling post pill or should I be worried?

@Tinkertailor88 can't offer much in the way of a reassuring story I'm afraid. I too have been TTC around 6 months and am off the pill 6 months and am really struggling with my cycle since. I've got a blood test on Wednesday but am a little worried it's not going to be much use as the GP said it didn't need to be on a specific CD?! So no idea what they are testing or if that'll even be helpful. I'm waiting on a referral for a scan too. I've had four periods since I came off the pill, three of which were really light, one of which was heavier, but I suspect the only cycle I ovulated on was the one where I had a heavier AF, as I'm charting BBT and looks like I may not have ovulated on the other cycles 😕

It’s so frustrating isn’t it! I didn’t get much help from the GP so took matters into my own hands and did the finger prick blood tests online (day 21 progesterone and day 3 fertility hormones) and booked a private scan for endometrial thickness in the hope I may get taken more seriously but even with those results GP still just said to keep waiting and get back to her in 3 months. That it will likely sort itself out. Hopefully she’s right but doesn’t stop the constant worry and when I’m 36 I’m very conscious of my biological clock ticking so just wanted to check there isn’t anything else going on that I could be sorting sooner rather than later.

@Tinkertailor88 I'll be very interested to find out what they are actually testing on Wednesday. May have to go down the same route as you eventually! What annoys me most is you're not told that you could have trouble conceiving after coming off the pill. I even asked at my last pill check if I should come off in advance to prepare my body and was told I should expect to start ovulating right away and shouldn't have any trouble getting pregnant 🙄 I'm almost 32 but have no children, so do worry if it'll even be possible for me sometimes. Hopefully we both just need a bit more time. Are your cycles regular? X

@MintGreenLife I know I’ve said that sooooo many times I can’t believe they don’t warn you about this!!! Good luck at the docs I hope you get some reassurance. My experience was that the GP didnt seem too interested or know much it. She only referred me for a scan due to the mid cycle spotting but she said the referral would take a while to come through so I just booked my own. The NHS is so overwhelmed at the minute with covid I think these issues are last on their list of priorities. My cycles are regular now yes I get my LH surge around day 14 then my temps usually drop and I get my ‘period’ (if you can even call it that) about 15 days later. I spot a lot from about a week after ovulation though and it tends to be more red but when it’s actually supposed to be my period it’s just brown smudges really (TMI I know). I’m also booked in to see an acupuncturist. I’ll try anything to speed things up. On top of all that my acne is out of control and my emotions are all over the place! Feel like I have constant PMT!!!

@Tinkertailor88 I'm experiencing acne for the first time in my life, didn't even have it as a teenager. It's only just kicked in too about two weeks ago even though I've been off the pill six months. My GP did say the whole 'it can take a while for these things to settle down' etc, but was surprised she was willing to run some tests already, especially like you say given the current situation. I assume I will be waiting a while to get my referral for my scan though. Hopefully the acupuncture will help you along ☺️ X

Thanks let’s hope our bodies just need a little more time. When I spoke to the acupuncturist she actually used the word evil when she referred to the pill! Says she has loads of women with problems coming of it

@Tinkertailor88 @MintGreenLife

Hi ladies! I’m experiencing exactly the same thing. Thin lining after stopping the pill. Just wanted to check in to see if you had since had any progress / success? X
