I am 1dpo today. I am very calm at the moment but give me a week and I will be counting down the days until I can test. Who else is on the 2ww with me?

@Wils85 no it definitely hasn't sunk in yet.
I'm loaded with a miserable cold so I've spent the day just trying to get through my work so I can go home and cuddle up with the kids!
So excited but trying not to be at the same time.
I do however have a horrendous urge to go and buy a baby names book!!!

chillyfields · 01/10/2020 22:16

Congratulations @ladymary86! Very excited and happy for you!

@Wils85 I'm also due on Wednesday! Trying to hold off testing until then, but now you've mentioned an FRER this weekend I'm like 👀 wonder if I can pop into Boots on my way home... I know rationally that it's too soon to tell really (only 7DPO today), but I have been so gassy, and creamy CM which I don't usually get during PMS. Eurgh would just love this to be the month, TTC is stressing me out.

@wenders4 I don't know personally (this would be my first) but I've read it takes 48hrs for HCG to double, so if it's very early now, and your pee was dilute, it wouldn't necessarily be darker just 12hrs later. Good luck! Keeping everything crossed that yours is a sticky one 🌠

herewegonumbertwo · 01/10/2020 22:18

@chillyfields say what, is being gassy a symptom?! I've been super gassy too 🙈

chillyfields · 01/10/2020 22:24

@herewegonumbertwo some people say so, but then it could also been the normal pre-AF progesterone rise. It seems like everything is a possible pregnancy symptom and a possible pre-AF symptom (until you get your BFP)

Wils85 · 02/10/2020 08:35

Hey @chillyfields we can do it together! I wasn't going to test until next week but with hubby being away from Sunday lunchtime until a week today, not sure I'd last! I'm with you, not convinced I'll get a positive as it's early but I'm 8/9DPO today as I got my peak a little earlier than usual this month.

I've been super gassy too (not normally and I very rarely burp and I'm doing that alot! I hate it!) waves of nausea, sore boobs, lots of saliva (I think - that's a weird one as it's not something I'm normally aware of 😂) and my resting heart rate has gone up... I also feel full in my lower abdo, and maybe a feeling like my uterus is bruised/tender. I know that sounds weird but it's the only way I can describe the feeling!

What symptoms have you ladies experienced either this TWW period or in previous pregnancies?

I daren't even imagine that it all means what I hope it does. I had a cycle before we were PG last time where I was utterly convinced and then my period came. I suppose it could have been a chemical but I just didn't test, then I felt like a right tool 🙈

I'm off to Morrisons at lunch to pick up a test for Sunday. All the FRER test on Amazon aren't going to be delivered until next week and that's with Prime!! How rude!

@wenders4 a line is a line, eeeeek congratulations to you 🎉I read a while back that false positives rarely happen, false negatives are common with testing too early. Keep us posted when you take another test, though it looks as though you're in the club ❤️ xxx

Wils85 · 02/10/2020 08:38

@ladymary86 it's amazing how that news just sets you off looking at all things baby and the urge is so powerful! Naming baby is such a big decision isn't it? How does it sound with the surname, do the initials spell anything rude? it's a minefield 😂

We had and still have only one name on our list for a boy and we still love it. But I don't know if it's a bit weird using it in the future after losing our last two PGs even though we didn't know what the sex was. What do you ladies think?

cactusmama79 · 02/10/2020 15:06

Congrats @ladymary86 and @wenders4 so exciting!

Think I'm going to hold off testing until next Friday earliest as I'm not 100% sure when I ovulated. Think I'm 4/5 dpo.

I've woken up with a cold today and without thinking took cold and flu capsules and then remembered these aren't safe for pregnant ladies. You don't think this will be a problem incase I am pregnant this month? 😬 I'm thinking not but ttc makes you overthink everything doesn't it haha x

Wils85 · 02/10/2020 15:45

@cactusmama it really does! I think you'll be fine. You don't know for definite if you are PG and you don't want to be feeling rubbish. Colds are the worst. My friend had a negative test, went on holiday drank wine and ate lots soft cheese and then got a positive. She had been PG all the time. Her daughter is beautiful and healthy.

Brendon7 · 02/10/2020 16:35

Hi, I’m currently on cycle 3 and 10dpo.
So this cycle I had very brief sharp cramps on 6dpo didn’t even last an hour . Not sure this was really anything tbh.
I have had terrible headache since I stopped ovulating it’s all day everyday it’s really started to make me feeling grumpy and just rubbish.

Not sure if this is a pregnancy symptom but it is unusual for me I don’t often get headaches.

Trying4one · 03/10/2020 11:02

For some reason I have not been getting notifications of messages in this group and omg congratulations @ladymary86 and @wenders4 🎉
I am 6dpo today and for some reason I am finding it hard to be positive and already writing myself off for this month 🤦 I have a dodgy gut today which I am putting down to my IBS. I think the pain is too high to be implantation pain. I have a snotty nose and have my flu jab this morning so prepared to feel yuck for the weekend 🙈🤣
But reading your positive news is brightening me up

Waaaah! Despite some pretty convincing symptoms, I got a BFN this morning on FRER. By my dates my period isnt sure until Wednesday/Thursday so it's still early to test but I think I'm out this month ladies 😔

C20S20G · 04/10/2020 10:19

Hi All,
I have just come across this thread and I am currently going mad in my TWW! I am 10dpo and have been feeling all the symptoms but thinking are they in my head?! I have felt nauseated the whole time and two days ago I had taken pregnancy and it was negative. This morning I only had an ovluation test and it was positive? I’m really confused! Could I be pregnant or am I ovulating again for the second time this month and need to dtd asap?! I have attached a picture but surely I can’t OV 5 days before AF is due?! Help I need advice 😩 xx

Who else is on their 2ww?
Trying4one · 04/10/2020 10:19

@Wils85 what dpo are you? Don't count yourself out until AF arrives ☺️

OP posts:
Trying4one · 04/10/2020 10:22

@C20S20G welcome to the mad house! Which pregnancy test did you use? Some are more sensitive than others. LH strips can get confused and pick up HCG. Maybe you need to get a more sensitive test 🤔 10dpo is really early to test and some women don't get a positive until after AF is due. Don't count yourself out yet. I find the body can play mind games with symptoms when they are early on 🤦

OP posts:
C20S20G · 04/10/2020 10:30

@Trying4one Hello! ☺️ Happy to be part of the mad house! I used superdrug early because I have heard they are good. I know I tested really early so I assumed it would be negative but thought I’d use the OV clear blue whilst I had it and because I heard sometimes they can pick up HCG. I’m trying not to tests cause getting a negative is so deflating 🥺 Yes I feel like my mind And body is just playing games with me! Fingers crossed I’ll try to hold out till AF is due xx

Trying4one · 04/10/2020 10:38

@C20S20G I had bleeding last cycle that I thought was implantation bleeding and this cycle I had metallic taste (but was only 1dpo) 🤦 it is so mean. I would rather have no symptoms as you are less likely to get your hopes up. Yeah I don't want to test too early as I can't bring myself to see too many negative tests. Even though I have a week to AF, I feel like this is not my month (couldn't tell you why) not counting myself out though. How long have you been TTC?

OP posts:
Wils85 · 04/10/2020 11:23

@trying4one maybe 10dpo I think? I got a peak a week last Wednesday so maybe ovulated the Thursday. I know it's early to count myself out. I'm staying to send myself insane experiencing symptoms, telling hubby and then I feel a complete tool when I get a negative or my period comes. It's just so unfair that symptoms of PMS and early pregnancy are so fricking similar. Consoling myself by cleaning the windows - cleaning is my therapy! Just call me Monica 😂 Hubby just left for the week as well. 😢

Trying4one · 04/10/2020 11:31

@Wils85 I know what you mean. I think if not pregnant this cycle, I may end up sharing less in the 2ww period as otherwise my husband is going to think I am mental 🤣
I haven't found a therapy to keep my mind occupied yet. I may play a game or something to distract myself. I want to hold off to 11dpo ideally before testing. Last cycle i only managed to hold out to 10dpo 🤦

OP posts:
chillyfields · 04/10/2020 15:59

@Wils85 I'm so sorry to hear that, but it's still very early yet if you're only 10DPO (same as me!). I've managed to hold out testing by having the even less pleasant distraction of building works done on our bathroom - means I can't nip in to POAS without the builder thinking I'm bonkers!! Considering testing tomorrow morning or Tuesday though. I've had weird stretchy type twinges in my abdomen for the past few days and unbelievable fatigue yesterday and today. Fingers crossed for both of us, and everyone else waiting to test!

Wils85 · 04/10/2020 16:25

Hi @chillyfields fingers crossed for you! It's good you have that distraction. I only really tested today because of hubby going away. I know I'm not out until the red lady sings, but I'm less hopeful now 😔 keep us posted how you get on, your symptoms sound good! Got all my appendages crossed for you. It makes me so happy to see everyone's good news xxx

chillyfields · 04/10/2020 17:43

Thank you so much! Let us know how you get on, too x

Bowsie15 · 04/10/2020 17:58

Hi ladies! Congrats on the BFPs so far.

First time posting on here but I've been lurking for months. Going insane in my tww, currently 7DPO on cycle 6 and losing hope because I have absolutely no symptoms! Trying to hold out testing until the day of AF though...

Trying4one · 04/10/2020 18:09

@Bowsie15 same day as me. I don't think I quite have enough self control to wait until next Sunday to test (when AF is due). I will most likely end up testing on Thursday or Friday 🤣

Jellytot91 · 04/10/2020 18:18

I have sore heavy boobs, cramping, really emotional for no reason. These symptoms are all very unusual for me.
I hate the TTW but I'm being good and going to wait for AF

Wils85 · 04/10/2020 18:54

Hi @Jellytot91 all those symptoms sound positive! Good luck with not testing until AF. I always fail 🤦🏻‍♀️
