5DPO - Any buddies?

Hi all!

Any one else 5DPO? Keep googling symptoms 😂

Feel like today I've got sore boobs and weird pelvic pains like little twinges! Then I think am I just imaging it 😂

Be lovely to chat to some other people who have had this xx

Another BFN at 10dpo this morning - DW wanted to test so we did but I thought it wasn't too likely at this stage, so not too disappointed...

She is CD32 now and not cramping which she'd normally be so still holding out hope.

@xem87 Is needing to pee all the time a symptom? DW says the aches she's feeling are more like a uti than pre-AF so been trying to Google that like the crazy person I'm becoming

I really don't know! AF not here yet... period cramps gone but keep needing to wee! Lots of clear discharge and this weird like pinching pain to right of belly button... but test negative this morning 12dpo and did feel like period coming early so confusing lol

@xem87 ahhh so frustrating! You're definitely still in - plenty of people don't show up until 14dpo... Your symptoms all sound promising!

That FRER test says 6 days before so just thought would show I guess xx

Help! I am 7 or 8 dpo but this is the second day with these line from clear blue early. 4 tests have shown these lines. First response was negative. I am officially too early or test apparently Wednesday is the earliest but surely these all can’t be wrong. You will have to zoom super faint but def there

My period started this morning! On to month 2 of trying 😍 think I'm going to try ovulation tests this month has anyone tried? Xx

@Jaysdream7 I think I can see a very faint line but I have seen on other threads that the blue lines can give early false positives. Sorry I don't want to disappoint but from what people have said I think the FRERs are more reliable. Fingers crossed it is positive and it will show on FRER in a couple more days.

@xem87 oh no ☹️ I'm surprised because some of the symptoms you had could definitely be caused by pregnancy, I guess it just shows you never really know until a BFP! I was thinking about doing ovulation tests this cycle but I've decided to do BBT monitoring instead as it's cheaper and I needed a thermometer anyway 😂.

I’ve heard bad things too. It’s so disheartening! Just looked at it again before binning and look

If these are false thousands of women must be so heart broken xx

@xem87 sorry to hear AF arrived. I've just bought more cheap ovulation sticks of amazon. I think they work okay, but I have no frame of reference!

@Jaysdream7 I've heard the same about those tests. It's still v early days, maybe wait for a few days then try a pink test? (Easier said than done I know!)

@xWaterfallx what's BBT? I've seen in mentioned but no idea what it is

@BrilliantButScary BBT is Basal Body Temperature 🙂, your temp is lower in your follicular phase, then when you ovulate it spikes and stays higher throughout the luteal phase. The temperature will drop shortly before your period or remain higher if you are pregnant. So it doesn't help you with timing DTD but it lets you know when you've ovulated. I've included a screenshot to show what BBT monitoring should look like on a chart.

I'm so confused! So I woke up with AF cramps... went to the toilet at like 7am little bit of pink spotting... then again 9ish some pink mucus then it's stopped! Just clear discharge again! Very odd xx

I can't believe I'm saying this but... Bought FRERs for the first time and I think it's a BFP! 11dpo, evening urine... Don't know how well you can see but it's definitely pink and came up in 2 mins!

Hey how is everyone getting on? Those of you that got a BFP, is everything still okay? Those who got a BFN, are you due to start the TWW again soon?

I'm expecting to ovulate today or tomorrow, got a good chunk of EWCM this morning so shortly after DTD! Due to start the TWW as soon as my temp spikes xx

Well something I still don’t believe happened! I got a BFP 😬. I have short 24 day cycles so took a test on Sunday afternoon was due AF and randomly I fancy To POAS! I still Don’t believe it - I am only 4 weeks and I am Convinced that it won’t have a happy ending so just taking each day at a time.

@ShinyBadger Yay that's fantastic news! Fingers crossed its a sticky one 😊. Try and keep positive, you could have a private scan at 7 weeks to put your mind at ease. They do them from 6 weeks but sometimes 6 weeks is too early to see anything x

Hey @xWaterfallx thanks for checking in! 🙂 I’m due to ovulate Tuesday ish. My cycles are slightly longer than average so I normally ovulate cd19-21. Not been doing LH tests this month. Only problem is hubby is only home at weekends and this weekend it’s only the Sunday I’ll see him. So still a small window of opportunity 🤣 but not going to get my hopes up.

For those of you who are thinking of using ovulation tests, if you aren’t sure, they are really useful to help time DTD but they won’t tell you if you’ve actually ovulated. The only way to know that is by tracking your BBT. The ovulation tests detect a surge of your LH hormone which is what your body releases in preparation 24-48hours before ovulation, so good cuz then you can DTD! But they won’t tell you that you’ve actually released an egg. Also if you’ve not used them before, you will get two lines on them regardless. But they are only positive when the test line is the same strength or darker than the control line. If it’s lighter, it’s negative. Hope that’s useful if it’s your first time using them 😊

@xWaterfallx thank you very much for your kind words, I’m a Sonographer so will have a cheeky look at 7 weeks if I can get there. Just been for a wee and have brown discharge and cramps - really hoping it doesn’t turn into heavy bleeding.
