Bleeding during predicted day of ovulation?

I’ve been using the Flo app to track my cycles over the past few months and we started TTC last month. My period came and went at the start of September but was a lot shorter than usual (4 days instead of 7). I took a pregnancy test and unfortunately it was negative.

Today is supposed to be my day of ovulation (according to flo) but I’ve started bleeding (bright red like a period). I’ve read about ovulation bleeding on the internet but I’ve never had it before and have been bleeding all day.

Anyone else had this??

Has it finished yet? Did you get fertile CM in the lead up to ovulation?

@Livingmagicallyagain still bleeding and I think it was fertile (wet anyway) I’m wondering if this is my period coming early as I had a very stressful day at work on Thursday

I had this and it was a very common and benign ovarian cyst. It was gone by next cycle and I concieved! It did prevent ovulation in the cycle before, though my body showed signs of trying to.

Keep an eye on it, if it persists see your GP.

@Livingmagicallyagain thank you! I’m still bleeding today and it’s dark red with some small clots in it which makes me think it’s probably my period. If it is, it’s 15 days early I had hoped it might be implantation bleeding but I don’t think that’s the case now. Might book a GP appointment
