Conception after removal of Mirena coil

Hi there,

This is my first time doing this wandering if anyone can help.

After my first ds I was told I had endromesiosis after my operation for this I had a mirena coil put in to help control it.

I had my coil removed this August as me and dh want to start trying for another baby but I still haven’t had a period yet? Does this mean I can’t conceive as I still haven’t had a period?

I had a few days of bleeding after the removal of coil but that’s all, can’t track my fertile window as I haven’t had a period.

Has anyone been through the same thing? Does it take longer for period to come back after Mirena removal?

It was on the 8th August I had it removed

I had my mirena removed in August too. However I continued to have light periods on it. It was removed on day 9 of that cycle and I had a bit of bleed then about 3 days later I had a period?! I'm not about 13 days into this cycle... not sure what's happening though. Did you have bleed while you had the mirena?

Thanks for getting back to me yes I did bleed while I had it but only for a bout 1 or two days a month so very short light periods. Just worried it might not come back. Not sure it’s something I can just call the docs about?

I imagine if you had it removed in august they'd probably want you to wait 3 or so months to see what happens. So frustrating though.

Hiya I saw this and feel your pain! I also have endometriosis and had my second surgery and my mirena coil removed end of June. Had a bleed 6 weeks later. Then nothing aside from a random bit of spotting start of September (which I hoped was IB) then I thought I might have ovulated late but now I am thinking I perhaps didn't ovulate at all. I think it's quite normal for cycles to be a mess after having it removed. We are TTC our first.
