Considering VR or IVF - not sure which to choose!

My partner and I are going to be TTC but he has had a Vasectomy around 5 yrs ago, he's had a consultation to reverse but now we're considering options of a VR or IVF to get pregnant. I've had fertility tests and everything is clear but have a low AMH which I can take medication for but everything else is okay. It sure what to do! Has anyone else been in this position? Thank you!

Curious as to what kind of medication you can take for low AMH? That would make a difference in plans going forward.

Is your clinic a specialist in IVF for low AMH? What is your AMH level?

A reversal would be your cheaper option. As your parter had his vasectomy 5 years ago, the chances of a successful reversal are much higher due to the timeframe between the two. My dp had a reversal last September after 12 years and luckily it was successful, still ttc though, if can take a while for the sperm to recoup. There is also a risk of the reversal scarring after a year. Did the consultant mention ivf or other options?

IVF likely will have a low success rate anyway if he has had a vasectomy but not reversed it. The cost of surgical sperm retrieval is about the same cost as a reversal so you may as well go for VR first

AMH is a measure of egg reserve which cannot be increased - what medication is it?
