Implantation symptoms - are they real?

Or just hopeful crazy symptom spotting?

Last night I was woken up with pain that felt very similar to a bad period cramp, deep in my uterus that spread across my pelvis. I was up for an hour or so until it faded, and I felt an odd sort of fluttering. I'm only around 6DPO. My boobs are really throbbing this morning but no cramps at all now.

Are implantation cramps/signs actually a real thing or did I just have wind?!

I don't recall with pregnancy two or three but with my fist I remember lying on the bed and a weird pop/bubble like sensation which would have been around the time of implantation for me.. maybe coincidence (we wasn't trying for a baby at the time) I just remember a really strange thing happening in my tummy and I have never felt it since

Definitely had them with DD2. Was at school (am a teacher) the day we broke up for Christmas. We were having a quiz in the hall and I stood up to get a drink. As I did do I had this pain like I had been stabbed in the womb. It was so bad I winced and I remember a colleague saying “are you okay, you’ve gone really pale”. It felt a bit like period pain and I said “yeah, I think it’s just period pains” and tried to ignore them, but they were abysmal and lasted a couple of hours. I then had some spotting that evening. This was about 8dpo. I then had a positive test at 12DPO.

I'm pregnant with twins and had zero symptoms - no cramping twinges nothing

But with DD the day before my period was due I got intense pains on the left side and I had to lie down for 1/2 hour

Appreciate the replies! I'll be quietly hopeful but not expect good news, as it could have been something else/nothing at all.

I'm not usually a symptom spotter at all but as this cramp actually woke me up, it had me wondering.

Can only wait it out.
