Is there hope or am I kidding myself?

Hi

I need some advice and hoping someone can help! Got positive opks on 23 and 24th August making me 13/14 dpo today. AF was due yesterday and I woke up with hideous period type pain which lasted all day. It was so bad that I contemplated taking pain killers and using a hot water bottle (so definitely wasn’t imagining them). I kept thinking that I was going to come on, running to the toilet a lot to check. To my surprise I woke up this morning and the pain was gone but no period.

My period is therefore officially a day late so got excited to do a test and surprise surprise BFN!!

I always have a 12 day luteal phase (been tracking for a year) and the opks did indicate that I ovulated.

Could I still be in with a shout for a late bfp or am I kidding myself? I’m holding on to hope that the pains yesterday may have been implantation pain but it would seem very late.

Any advice/opinions greatly received!

Could still be I for a chance if you ovulated late... best of luck to you.

They say you can ovulate your to 48 hours after your positive OPk so unless you ovulated slightly later? Xxx

Both of my pregnancies I've experience cramping and literally one spot of blood 4-5 days before my period. According to everything I've searched it's too late for implantation pain/bleeding but it's been the same both times. Don't lose hope yet!

Thanks everyone for your replies encouraging PMA. I used a first response this morning, so I do know it's unlikely! However I guess I'm not out until AF shows!
