Hi all newbie here. Me and my husband have begun TTC this month. Bit of background iv always had horrendous and irregular periods. Im a plus lady but have made a conscious effort this year to be as active and healthy as possible iv lost 1.5 stone, i run at least 5 -7k 3times a week and try to eat well although im not perfect. I love my choccy since doing this my cycles have improved and the last 3 periods have fell into a 31day cycle and iv tracked my ovulation. This time around my ovulation strips showed me to have possibly 2 peaks which was odd one on day one on CD15 which looks to be the most dark and another on CD17 which is dark but not as dark as the first we did the baby dance on and around both these if I went on CD15 it means im now 10DPO.

During these 10days up until now iv had horrendous headaches, felt a little nauseous now and again, tired, constipation, bloating, slight twinges and pain in my hips, and a swishy wishy washy washing machine like feeling in my lower abdomen? (Can't think how to describe it!) , my boobs dont feel sore or swollen as such but they have a slight dull ache and feel heavy ish and my back has been a bit achey and strangely had a bit of sinus trouble( a drippy nose) for a few days which is odd but that seems to have gone now.

I feel like i could be pregnant. But i feel a test may be to early to tell yet and im trying to hold out a little longer before i test, part of me is not wanting to get my hopes up as its unlikely iv caught so soon especially with a history of irregular periods. And i know it usually takes up to a year of trying for most couples.

Can anyone offer any experience or advice on if you had any of the symptoms mentioned above in early pregnancy? Stay safe lovelies Smile

When is your period due? Best thing to do is wait and see if your period is late, otherwise you’re just wasting a test.

I have heard of headaches and back ache being an early pregnancy symptom, so fingers crossed for you!

I just found out I was pregnant this week, when my period didn’t arrive I did a few tests and got faint lines followed by a definite digital test today!

I’ve had months where I thought I had symptoms but then wasn’t pregnant, and then this time I had crazy vivid dreams which are apparently a sign due to hormone changes, but I didn’t feel as pregnant as I have in previous months if that makes sense!

That makes sense yeah, iv had vivid dreams too but tbh thats not uncommon for me.

Its that frustrating wait lol but iv never had these kind of symptoms before but I also dont want to read into nothing because im too eager lol

I hope I'm being a cynic however... for me and so many other posters on conception boards the first real month of TTC you truly notice so many symptoms that you've never noticed before. The first month TTC i has cramps, I was hungry for particular food, I was tired, I had headaches, lower cramping at 8dpo. Turns out those symptoms were there all along for every cycle but I'd never paid attention!

I truly hope you're pregnant but if you're not chalk down these symptoms to help you in the following months not to symptom spot!

Also if you use a first response early results they are pretty accurate from about 11DPO :) best of luck!!

Sorry but most pregnancy symptoms don't start until around 5/6 weeks pregnant so unlikely they are pregnancy symptoms at the mo. As your now ttc you'll be symptom spotting which means you notice every little symptom after ovulation that you would never had noticed before hand. Ttc is a strange process and you'll notice things about your body you've never ever noticed before, good luck in your ttc journey xx

Thanks for the advice i think your right i may just be noticing things that I hadent before. I am writing everything down in a diary to so I can look back on it, and keep track. I had another very weird vivid dream last night and feel quite tired with a headache and uncomfortable in my stomach today. But this could be preperiod symptoms that maybe iv not clocked before. As I'm due next Sunday.

We will have to wait and see x

Hey! So sorry to hear AF arrived.

Strangely month two and three TTC were a bit easier than the first month. I knew from month 2 onwards of all the little symptoms that I'd never noticed before and the two week wait was a bit easier going forwards. Best of luck to you and hopefully TTC will be quick and easy for you!
