It’s our first month of vaguely trying so I’m not convinced that it will obviously happen but despite that it’s dragging so much !

@strawberrysummer19 I think every company/contract can have different policy - my new one will be that you have to have a year’s employment before the start of Mat Leave so I just sort of worked that out to mean don’t get pregnant until over 3 months in. I think that’s pretty standard and it’s the same for the friends I’ve asked (my new job is with the gov so if that’s theirs I would imagine it’s the bench mark?).

You’re entitled to up to 12 months mat leave whenever you started, but there will be a length of service needed before mat pay kicks in sadly!

strawberrysummer19 · 12/10/2020 21:01

@Amy259 ah I see well I've just read something about having to have worked 26 weeks at a job before being able to get maternity pay so 6months - I mean I did know this when I was applying as we have been TTC for a while so we knew the risks

Just a bit daunting if I did fall anytime soon but also will be very happy and have to make it work!!!

Amy259 · 12/10/2020 21:19

@strawberrysummer19 exactly, best way to look at it - if it doesn’t happen soon = full mat pay (but if I’m honest, still my least favourite of the options because I’ll be gutted if it takes ages), if it does = baby! Silver linings in both options..? 😂

Trying4one · 13/10/2020 14:06

@LetsD0ThisThing @LemonDrizzle44 have either of you tested again. I have my fingers crossed.

I used my last test today, it was a cheapie as I prefer peeing on a 50 pence then a fiver 😂 and the line is getting darker thank god. I think I shall stop with the tests now and just hope for the best.

Anyone on 2ww going crazy 😂
LetsD0ThisThing · 13/10/2020 14:19

@Trying4one great line progression there 😀
I tested with an easy@home stick this morning, BFN. I won't bother again this month now as I know it's a no.

I need to chill a little bit next cycle, last month (first cycle ttc) I'd literally just had my implant removed, didn't use OPKs, didn't chart bbt, didn't do anything and had a chemical. This cycle we dtd when we were 'supposed to' tracked temps, used OPKs, I even gave the pre seed a try for some reason 😆 and nothing! Having said that it's better than another chemical as that's just worse heartache.

Hope everyone is well, have we got any testing coming up soon? Hopfully we will have some more BFPs soon.

Katierose34 · 13/10/2020 14:32

@LetsDOThisThing I had my coil removed and used opk straight away. I had 2 static smile faces about a week later and dtd both those days.
I am on 8dpo and did a cheap test this morning which of course was bfn.
I will have to wait and see if af arrives or not. I will be lucky to get a bfp on my 1st cycle but fingers crossed as 8dpo is really to early to test.

KittyJean · 13/10/2020 14:54

Great to see you having a strong line @Trying4one. @LetsD0ThisThing and @Katierose34 sorry for your neg results. I also got bfn yesterday. I broke and tested again. I am cycle day 29 no and don't feel much like af is coming. Heavy eyes is the only thing I have. I have ordered dome First Response which are coming Saturday so if I don't have AF by then I'll be testing again. It would be very odd if it isn't here by Saturday. I feel like bfn is final but so many great stories of a bfp after a bfn it gives me hope. Hang on ladies. Big hugs

eloiseislost · 13/10/2020 15:12

@strawberrysummer19 I'm starting a new job on Tuesday and also TTC cycle 2. You have to have worked in the same employment for 26 weeks by the time it's the 15th week before your due date. So essentially if you get pregnant 9-10 weeks after you start a new job, you should be fine.

Katierose34 · 13/10/2020 16:18

What's the latest you ladies have had a bfp, if you already have children?
I don't remember with my other two. I'm hoping if af doesn't arrive, testing again at dpo 17??

strawberrysummer19 · 13/10/2020 17:39

@eloiseislost ah I see that makes sense
I was a bit confused about it
Doesn't seem so long when you put it like that

I last texted positive when I was due on my actual period so cd28 and 14 DPO

But that was a long time ago and I've been trying for a while and very rarely get to even being late so I never test until 1 day late

This month I was 1 day late then came on

I'm due on this Thursday/Friday so will probably test Friday as purely because I was planning to have a drink Saturday
Night! X

Amy259 · 13/10/2020 17:44

@Trying4one that’s great line progression 😍 congrats!

@LetsD0ThisThing & @Katierose34 sorry to hear about your bfns, I think I definitely hate that even more than af rudely arriving. I’ll still keep my fingers crossed they turn to bfps!

LemonDrizzle44 · 13/10/2020 17:45

@Trying4one glad your lines are getting darker. Pleased for you! AF arrived today 😞

Trying4one · 13/10/2020 20:26

@LemonDrizzle44 oh no 😔 I really thought this was your month
Hoping I will be seeing some BFP from you all soon ❤️

Foggymist · 13/10/2020 20:39

Great lines @Trying4one! Sorry to hear about the bfn's and af arriving Flowers

Used my second/last frer today, in the afternoon when I had already been to the bathroom about an hour before. Got a darker line than yesterday, still 3 days until af is supposed to arrive! I have so many symptoms and minor cramping, dh is of course terrorising me that it's twins Shock

Trying4one · 13/10/2020 20:49

@Foggymist I have the cramps on off as well. My sleep is starting to be disturbed and so tired today 😴 my friend was pregnant with twins and the nausea started by week 4 so watch out if it is twins

Foggymist · 13/10/2020 20:52

I'm sleeping terribly but that's not new with my dc and general light sleep by me anyway! I've usually been nauseous by 6 weeks all the way through to birth so am hoping it doesn't happen again!

Sweetk0987poiu · 13/10/2020 21:39

I tested again today at 9dpo bfn, really hate buying these cheapies I pee on 3 at a time when I’m this inpatient 😂 my boobs are still very sore, mightn’t of had some cramping today, might of been because I consumed all of greggs, hoping it’s implantation

NamechangeTTC · 13/10/2020 22:10

17 hour stitch has gone.
BFN

Hate this

Trying4one · 13/10/2020 22:18

@Sweetk0987poiu I had a BFN on 8dpo and BFP afternoon of 10dpo. You are not out yet. How sensitive are your cheapies? My cheapies didn't pick anything up until 12dpo
@Foggymist I have always woken up to go to the loo but this is different and annoying. New symptom as of this evening .... Lightening crouch. 😩🤦

Sweetk0987poiu · 13/10/2020 22:39

@Trying4one not trying to get my hopes up because it could be line eyes going crazy (very likely) but I think there could be an ever so slight line on it after I posted that.. I’ll see what happens tomorrow! I’m not sure how sensitive they are I haven’t been able to find much online but seem pretty sensitive in the reviews on Amazon! They’re the mom med ones

Trying4one · 13/10/2020 23:01

@Sweetk0987poiu from a quick Google I don't think they are as sensitive as FRER or CB early detection as it looks like is is 20 HCG where CB early are 10 and FRER are like 6. Therefore it would take a few more days to show on these tests then it would on a FRER or CB

Sweetk0987poiu · 13/10/2020 23:11

Ooh thanks @Trying4one if it’s negative in morning I’ll pick up a Frer tomorrow 😊

Katierose34 · 14/10/2020 08:21

About an hour after I had showered and dressed I thought I had wet myselfShock
Went to the loo and there is quiet thick white cm, until today, 9dpo, I've been dry as a boneSmile
Anyone any advkce/experience, could this be a positive sign or do other ladies experience this when af is on the way?

Amy259 · 14/10/2020 08:43

Morning @Katierose34! Sadly I think it’s one of those annoying symptoms that could be either - I’ve had it both with a bfn (around 2 days before af) and a bfp! But if you’ve never had it before af then 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 its a good sign x

Katierose34 · 14/10/2020 08:57

@Amy259 thank you, still ha ING. Ramping as well 🙄
